We Create Blog Hop - Lovely & Sweet

Welcome to the FEBRUARY 2022 "Lovely & Sweet" Blog Hop!!! We generally hop on the first day of every month, and this month the focus will be projects around love, something sweet, or both.

My project features the Sweet Conversations Stamp Set (also available in the Sweet Conversations BUNDLE - which includes the Sweet Hearts Dies) being used in a somewhat out of the box way. The spotty circles reminded me of the center of a flower, so I thought I'd see if I could stamp some hearts in a way that they would look like flower petals. It's not particularly impressive looking, but I think it's kinda cute. The hearts were stamped with the Coastal Cabana Ink Pad, and the centers were stamped with the Highland Heather Ink Pad.

You really can't tell very well from these pictures, but between all the flowers, in the background, I have used the Sponge Daubers with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad, to lay down some light color. You can see it a little better around the edges where the ink was built up a bit more. In person, the card looks really nice...almost like a patterned paper. I also used the Balmy Blue Ink Pad to stamp the shaded lines from the Sweet Conversations Stamp Set onto the Balmy Blue Cardstock banner under the greeting. It just gave it a little bit of texture.

It's kind of hard to explain in writing how I stamped the hearts. Maybe you can see it from this closeup - there are 6 hearts per flower. I stamped 2 of them tip to tip, sort of like an hour glass. Then on each side of the hour glass, I stamped 2 more hearts. I'll see if I can do some type of video to show you that.
