Third Thursdays Blog Hop - Second Wind

Welcome once again to our Third Thursdays Blog Hop! This month our theme for the hop is Second Wind! It's intended as a reminder of the second month of the Sale-a-Bration promotion that's happening through February 28th. The theme could also be anything to do with wind, like sailing! One of the fun perks of Sale-a-Bration is earning FREE stuff for $50 you spend on an order in the US. I'm featuring one of those items today: the Awesome Otters Stamp Set.
{you'll find Product Purchase Links for current items I've used, below the Blog Roll}

My inspiration for this project was actually the white heart with the gold line, which came from last month's Paper Pumpkin Kit. I know Valentine's Day has already passed, but I just thought this was such a cute card. It would be awesome for a swim party, or a swim teacher, as well as the obvious...which would be for your favorite otter loving friend.

I am not usually a heart person OR a flower person, but I had to buy the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder bundle - it includes the 3D embossing folder, plus a set of dies...one of which (the heart I used) can actually be run through your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the die inside to cut out the heart at the same time the folder embosses. It's just such a really cool idea.

The label shape that the sentiment is on, is from the set of dies that come with the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder bundle. And the sentiment is from the Sweet Conversations Stamp Set. It's almost like that sentiment and label were made for each other, it's just the right size! I used the Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends to color in the rhinestones to match the water I colored around the otter, then I tied some Simply Elegant Trim (gold) in a bow to match the gold outline in the die cut heart. I've listed all the Stampin' Blends colors I used, in the Stampin' Supplies list below.

Stampin' Supplies: Sale-a-Bration FREE Awesome Otters Stamp Set, Sweet Conversations Stamp Set,  Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder BUNDLE (embossing folder  + dies), Basic White Thick Cardstock, Flirty Flamingo Cardstock and Ink Pad, Blushing Bride Cardstock, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad, Stampin' Blends Markers (Balmy Blue, Cinnamon Cider, Petal Pink, Just Jade, Basic Black - for the nose, and the Color Lifter), Simply Elegant Trim (gold), Basic Rhinestones (colored with Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends), Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Paper Trimmer, Grid Paper, Bone Folder, Stampin' Scrub & Stampin' Mist (to clean red rubber stamps), Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. And don't forget to grab some Basic White Medium Envelopes for mailing your cards!
