Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - School Days

Welcome to the August 2023 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! You'll see projects in our hop from Stampin' Up! demonstrators around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so any prices mentioned are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month, and our theme for today is School Days! I have been having issues with my health again lately, so this will be another simple and short post. My project today features the Darling Details stamp set.. {you can find all Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll near the bottom of the post}

The reason I chose this card for the School Days theme, is that it was created from a design used for a "Make Along" project in a fellow demonstrator's online retreat. It was very much like taking a course, or going to school, for me! I must say, I am not at all a "flower person", but I really like the modern style of the Darling Details stamp set. Even though this stamp set come with the Darling Details Dies in the Darling Details BUNDLE for a 10% Discount, I used the Nested Essentials Dies for the greeting layer.

We Create Blog Hop - Recycled Projects

Welcome to the AUGUST 2023 "Recycled Projects" Blog Hop!!! We generally hop on the first day of every month, and this month our theme will focus on projects that are "recycled". This can be an old project we have recycled by recreating it with current products, or it can be projects we've made using recycled components, or anything to do with recycling! My project features the Nested Essentials Dies.

I probably should have made the card exactly like my old one (pictured below - from 2016), but I felt like using different colors. The old one seems sort of mellow, so I used Balmy Blue Cardstock in the back of the new one to give it the feel of a blue sky. Some of the pieces for the eyes and nose pretty much come right out of the Paper Florist Dies, but I had to fuss with a couple pieces to get the look I wanted.

I wanted to show you more about my new card, but it's one of those days for me where everything seems to take a long time, and it's hard to do, and I keep messing up things...so I'm just going to end here. Maybe tomorrow will be better and I can tell you more.
