We Create Blog Hop - Recycled Projects

Welcome to the AUGUST 2023 "Recycled Projects" Blog Hop!!! We generally hop on the first day of every month, and this month our theme will focus on projects that are "recycled". This can be an old project we have recycled by recreating it with current products, or it can be projects we've made using recycled components, or anything to do with recycling! My project features the Nested Essentials Dies.

I probably should have made the card exactly like my old one (pictured below - from 2016), but I felt like using different colors. The old one seems sort of mellow, so I used Balmy Blue Cardstock in the back of the new one to give it the feel of a blue sky. Some of the pieces for the eyes and nose pretty much come right out of the Paper Florist Dies, but I had to fuss with a couple pieces to get the look I wanted.

I wanted to show you more about my new card, but it's one of those days for me where everything seems to take a long time, and it's hard to do, and I keep messing up things...so I'm just going to end here. Maybe tomorrow will be better and I can tell you more.

Stampin' Supplies:  Alphabest Stamp Set, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad, Basic Black Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Balmy Blue Cardstock, Nested Essentials Dies, Paper Florist Dies, Basics 3D Embossing Folder 3-Pack, Iridescent Rhinestones, Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Wink of Stella (on snowbank strip and snowflakes), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals, Simply Shammy (to clean photopolymer stamps), Paper Snips, Paper Trimmer, Bone Folder, Grid Paper. You'll also need the standard sized Stampin' Emboss & Cut machine, because the 3D folders are too big for the mini sized machine.
