Third Thursdays Blog Hop - Time Marches On

Welcome once again to our Third Thursdays Blog Hop! This month our theme for the hop is Time Marches On! Our posts will feature projects that have something to do with time, like calendars or scrapbook pages, or anything to do with the month of March. My project includes 2019-2021 In Colors which will RETIRE May 3rd.
{you'll find Product Purchase Links for current items I've used, below the Blog Roll}

I've had a rough couple of days, then I somehow misplaced my camera this morning...then when I went to take my photo using natural light, I realized there were some marks on my window or something. You can see some diagonal shadows as if there's warping - not sure what that's about! So, I've put up this photo for now, but I'm hoping I can replace it with a better one later. For now, my cat will NOT let me get much of anything else done. She keeps scratching and biting me, trying to make me get up and get her lunch! Lol, such a spoiled little princess.

For this project, I decided to feature some of the 2019-2021 In Colors, because they will be RETIRING SOON. We will be getting a Retiring List on March 24th, but we already know these In Colors are at the end of their term. In fact, the Rococo Rose Cardstock is already out of stock and will not be replenished. You can check out the graphic below to have a look at some of the other products you might want to snap up ASAP, and if you click on the link it will take you to my Online Store where you can see all the products that include the 2019-2021 In Colors that are still in stock.

I used a lot of Seaside Spray Cardstock and Ink on this card, because it's my favorite 2019-2021 In Color. And I used Purple Posy Cardstock and Ink because I feel like it works so beautifully together with Seaside Spray. You'll have to get the 2019-2021 In Color Marker Assortment to ink up your stamps in Purple Posy, as our vendor could not keep the ink pad and refill within our quality standards. And, although you can purchase the Pretty Perennials stamp set in a BUNDLE with the coordinating Perennial Petals Dies, I chose not to use the dies for this card. I used my Paper Snips to cut around the flower that I popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. Since the Playing with Patterns Resin Dots are also going to be RETIRING SOON, I used several of them on my card, but you could easily just use one in the center of the popped up flower if you want to conserve them.

I also stamped off at least once for most images, and twice for a few others, especially when using the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. It is so bold when it is stamped at full strength that I felt like it sort of pulled the attention away from the softer colors. This would be really pretty if you ran the Basic White Cardstock layer through the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder using the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine...but I wanted to show the card without using extra tools.

Stampin' Supplies: Pretty Perennials photopolymer stamp set, Seaside Spray Cardstock and Ink Pad, Purple Posy Cardstock, 2019-2021 In Color Markers (Purple Posy), Pretty Peacock Ink Pad, Playing with Patterns Resin Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Paper Snips, Paper Trimmer, Grid Paper, Bone Folder, Simply Shammy (to clean photopolymer stamps). And don't forget your Basic White Medium Envelopes if you want to mail your cards!

Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Sweet Treats

Welcome to the MARCH 2021 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! You'll see projects in our hop from Stampin' Up! demonstrators around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so prices are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month, and our theme for today is Sweet Treats. I'm reviving an old Bunny Treat Cup project that's fun to use for Easter, Spring events, or even a baby shower. {you'll find all Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll near the bottom of the post}

You can see my first version of this Bunny Treat Cup on THIS POST, it was before Stampin' Up! carried the Mini Coffee Cups. Now you can order those cups and lids along with the rest of the supplies you'll need, all in one place! Stampin' Up!'s Mini Coffee Cups are a little bit taller than the ones I used before, so I put a couple of bunny paws on the bottom front of this one.

The Pretty Perennials BUNDLE is a great substitute for the current revival of this project. And instead of using various punches, you can use the Stitched Shapes Dies to make the ears and the outlines of the eyes. You can use either our Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine, or our Standard Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine with these dies. To get the whites and the pupils for the eyes, I used a little trick with the Snowman Builder Punch.

While we no longer have Baker's Twine in our annual catalog, the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack is perfect for this project. You get two spools of twine in that package, one is white, and the other is pink. The last detail you'll want on your bunny cup is the fluffy tail on the back!

Stampin' Supplies: Pretty Perennials BUNDLE (stamp set + dies), StazOn Jet Black Ink Pad, Basic White Cardstock, Basic Black Cardstock, Blushing Bride Cardstock and Ink Pad, Mini Coffee Cups with Lids, Snowman Builder Punch, Stitched Shapes Dies, Sponge Daubers, Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Grid Paper, Paper Trimmer (if you need to cut down your cardstock sheets). You'll also want the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine -- either size -- to use the dies!

We Create Blog Hop - Cut it Out!

Welcome to the MARCH 2021 "Cut it Out" Blog Hop!!! We generally hop on the first day of every month, and this month the focus of our projects will be cutting. It can be cutting with dies, using punches, fussy cutting (by hand), or just a special way of cutting.
{scroll to the bottom of this post for ALL product purchase links}

I thought some health issues might have been getting better for me, but they took a dive and have been kind of low for the past month. So, my project is going to be an easy "throwback" project of mine from a several years back, updated with current product. It's a stationery holder that will hold 4 cards and envelopes, that's made from cutting a 12"x12" sheet of Designer Series Paper, down to 8"x12", then scoring and folding it.

Though you can use the scoring blade on the Paper Trimmer for this project, I personally prefer to use the Bone Folder to make the score lines. To do this you simply open the cutting guide of the Paper Trimmer, so it's out of the way, then you use the trimmer for your measurements but you slide the pointy end of the Bone Folder down the cutting groove. I've found that the Bone Folder is much gentler on our Designer Series Paper, so you are less likely to press too hard and accidentally tear the paper.

Just to make things easier on myself, I used the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper that I used previously to create the 4 valentine cards in THIS POST. These cards are pictured below, and they have a decent amount of layering with some die cuts, some images cut by hand, and also some embellishments, and you can see they still fit nicely into the stationery holder. My Stampin' Supplies for this post, and the purchase links, will be limited to just the stationery folder itself, so if you want to check out the supplies needed for those cards, be sure to check that post link from last month.

Stampin' Supplies: Snail Mail Designer Series Paper, Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack, Basic White Medium Envelopes, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Bone Folder, Paper Snips, Paper Trimmer, Grid Paper.
