2016-17 Annual Catalog Open House - NEW In Colors!

It's that time of the year again...a NEW Annual Catalog Debut! Customers can start ordering from the Stampin' Up! 2016-17 Annual Catalog on June 1st at 3am MT. Demonstrators get to preorder select NEW catalog product before the debut, and I have a simple card to share with you right now, which happens to show all FIVE of the NEW 2016-2018 In Colors:

I want to point out that I have used a currently available stamp set for this card, that comes bundled with a punch, which you can get for 15% OFF, *IF* you order it BEFORE June 1st! Purchase the Grateful Bunch Photopolymer Bundle, and get the stamp set PLUS the coordinating Blossom Bunch Punch. Check out the pic below to see the items together. (To be honest, I'm not normally a big fan of photopolymer but I have a cool trick to show you with this stamp set and punch, that makes it TOTALLY worth it!) Don't forget to check out the Retiring Product section before June 1st to see if there's anything else you want to get before it's gone for good!!!

The card base is a current In Color: Tip Top Taupe. The rest of the colors (except white, of course) are the NEW 2016-2018 In Colors: Flirty Flamingo (top smallest flower), Peekaboo Peach (biggest flower), Sweet Sugarplum (lower medium-sized flower), Emerald Envy (stem and leaves image), and Dapper Denim (greeting). It can be difficult to get a picture that is going to show up on every device accurately, but all these colors are GORGEOUS. If you know me at all, you probably know my favorite color is blue, and that I've been pining for a denim color in our line up for a good while. So, yeah, I'm excited!

The best way to get a good look at the NEW In Colors, and to get your hands on a hard copy of the NEW Catalog, is to attend my 2016-17 Annual Catalog Open House here in Colorado Springs! (if you can't be here but don't mind working with a demonstrator long distance, contact me so we can set up a Virtual Open House experience that works for you--there are some FABULOUS specials in June you're especially gonna love!) My 2013 Holiday Catalog Open House

I want to thank all the gals who stopped by on Saturday, August 3rd for my 2013 Holiday Catalog Open House! I *love* so much having the opportunity to visit with you, and also to share all the new and fun products with you :-D I am already excited about how awesome they are, and then you guys get me even more excited about them!!! For those of you who missed out, or maybe those of you who are demonstrators yourselves (or thinking about Becoming a Demonstrator), here is a little peek at my setup. I do not have a "studio" I can devote to my events, so I just use my front room. And we rent, so my setup is not a fancy built-in deal. I just use what I have--I would much rather invest in more fun Stampin' Up! product than pieces of furniture to showcase it!

This is what you see on the far wall as you come in the front door. There are two inexpensive (read: assemble-it-yourself) bookcases I got years ago, with a shelf removed from each, so I can fit a card tree in the top. The card trees are each on a lazy susan, so they spin around for card viewing. The shelf below the card tree on the left is filled with kits--Paper Pumpkin, Dude You're Welcome, the new UNDEFINED carving kit, and I also put the Epic Day This and That Journal and some coordinating accessories there. Below the card tree on the right, I have My Digital Studio samples and projects featured:

Between the bookcases is a super sturdy Danish console I got for only $35 on Craigslist, in brand new condition--I love it! I can put my catalogs and flyers on the shelves, and stack my products and displays on top. On top of the console are a couple of folding metal shelves that add height to this display. I am sure I got them on sale and/or with a coupon from a big box craft store. And this is a better shot of the project I created with the Build-a-Banner Kit and the Christmas Accessory Kit:

Looking to the right of the bookcases and console, you'll see into the rest of the front room. I have my dining table down there (which pulls out long enough to seat 8), and some miscellaneous stands and craft drawers at the end:

Once guests are seated at the table, it's tough to get around the table. I wanted to add some displays there, but nothing that stuck out too much, so I just used some hooks made especially for drywall, and tied some string across there. My samples (of each year's In Color Collections) are hung from the string with paper clips...they are cute little square-shaped paper clips called Regal Clips, or some people call them Owl Clips. Google them--you will never want to be caught using "regular" paper clips again!:

At the end of the dining table, I have a TV set up on another inexpensive (assemble-it-yourself) stand, and I hooked that up to my laptop. No, it's not especially chic and beautiful, but this was SUPER handy to watch quick product videos, like the ones for the new Thinlits Card Dies, and the project video featuring the Festive Flurry stamp set and Framelits Bundle:

And, of course, it's hard to find a laptop without a cat on top of it! Gizmo is ready at a moment's notice to help me with any technical issues that might arise ;-)

My pictures are kind of grainy, due to the afternoon lighting in the room, so it's hard to get a good look at any of the actual samples. Don't worry, I'll be featuring those over future blog posts, in clear pictures for you! This was just meant to be sort of an overview :-)

Valentine Making Party

If you live in the Colorado Springs area, or will be passing through, please feel free to drop in on Saturday, February 13th, anytime between 11:00am-2:30pm to make a FREE Valentine, and matching envelope (not pictured). Choose from the two styles shown above--the first valentine is free, and you can make additional valentines for $1 each.

Please call me at 719-205-5957, or email me, to get the address and directions, and to RSVP your attendance. Every guest who RSVP's their attendance may pick a free mini stamp from my basket! The first 3 RSVP's will receive a special prize package valued at over $50, which may be picked up on Saturday at the party.

Note: the presence of paper crafting supplies, including paper cutters and very sharp scissors, make this an inappropriate environment for children.
