Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Spring Loaded

Welcome to the April 2023 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! You'll see projects in our hop from Stampin' Up! demonstrators around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so any prices mentioned are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month, and our theme for today is Spring Loaded! You might see posts with spring loaded projects, Spring cards, or anything else that fits the bill! I am featuring the Easter Bunny Stamp Set, along with the Mini Pocket Envelope Dies. {you can find all Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll near the bottom of the post}

For my treat holder, I used the Mini Pocket Envelope Dies, and the Country Gingham 6x6 Designer Series Paper (RETIRING). Make sure you check out the RETIRING LISTS below, to get the products you want before they are gone! The Last Chance Sale with discounts up to 60% OFF started April 4th, but some items are already out of stock.

For the latest info on what's in stock, check out My Online Store. If you can't find the item in the store, and you Search for it and it does not come up, it's sold out. If the item is being reordered, you will see "Currently Unavailable" in the item listing. If you are waiting on an item with that label to come back in stock, please feel free to email me at procrastistamper at gmail dot com and I will notify you when the next shipment arrives.

I made a video tutorial for you for this project, you can click the image below to watch it on YouTube. If you cannot see the embedded video image - you can go to YouTube and watch the video here:

(I use a 3/4" Circle Punch in the video to punch out the bunny's face, but Stampin' Up! does not currently have one for sale. You can trace around a dime for that circle instead, and it works perfectly.)

Stampin' Supplies: Easter Bunny Photopolymer stamp set, Country Gingham 6x6 Designer Series Paper (RETIRING), Basic White Cardstock, Early Espresso Cardstock, Basic Gray Ink Pad, VersaMark Ink Pad, Soft Succulent Ink Pad (RETIRING), Mini Pocket Envelope Dies, Gold Shimmer Ribbon, Linen Thread, Basics Embossing Powders (White), Embossing Tool Kit, Heat Gun, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals or Foam Adhesive Strips, Simply Shammy (to clean photopolymer stamps), Paper Snips, Paper Trimmer, Bone Folder, Grid Paper, and STANDARD-Size Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (for dies). [Optional - 3/4" Circle Punch, or a dime to trace around for the bunny face]

Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Halloween & Autumn Colors

Welcome to the OCTOBER 2022 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! You'll see projects in our hop from Stampin' Up! demonstrators around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so prices are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month, and our theme for today is Halloween & Autumn Colors! For my project I am featuring the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set, and the Rustic Harvest 12"x12" Designer Series Paper. {you'll find all Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll near the bottom of the post}

I made a Mini Kit Kat Treat Holder...it is open ended, so the candy can slide right out. This is a super simple project, and the key is finding a candy with a wrapper that coordinates well with the color of your holder. The treat holder in the center of the picture above is the first one I made, in neutral Crumb Cake Cardstock, and the Soft Suede Ink Pad. I wanted to also show you how it can look with patterned paper, so I used the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper for the ones at the top and bottom of the above pic. The one at the top shows a pattern of the DSP that I colored using Blending Brushes and the following inks: Cajun Craze, Mango Melody, and Cherry Cobbler. The one at the bottom is a light pattern that I stamped on, again using the Soft Suede Ink Pad. The greetings were stamped in the following inks, from top to bottom: Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede, and Cajun Craze. Hopefully that will help give you an idea of what colors you might like to use!

To make this holder, you'll start with a 3"x4" piece of cardstock or patterned paper. Then you will score parallel with the 3" side at the following measurements: 1/2", 1", 2-1/4" and 2-3/4". You'll put adhesive on the 1/2" strip and adhere the wrapper closed. I like to use Stampin' Seal, because I hate getting sticky fingers, and a tip for making sure these stayed well adhered is to put Stampin' Seal on each of the two surfaces that are getting adhered together. And, since this is an open-ended treat holder, I applied a Mini Glue Dot on the back of the candy before I slid it into the wrapper - that holds it in place, but is light enough that you can tug the candy out easily.

I chose the Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon for all the treat holders, because it coordinates well with all the colors, and the Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins do also. Unfortunately, the Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins are not available right now...I believe they will come back in stock at the end of October. You can easily use the Elegant Faceted Gems instead, and they look great! You can get away with just one gem or sequin, or you could use 3 on each holder, like I did on the top one in the first pic. These make great place setting favors, class or co-worker treats, or even a fun "thank you" for a bank teller, cashier, or delivery person.

Stampin' Supplies: Soft Seedlings Stamp Set, Rustic Harvest 12x12 Designer Series Paper, Crumb Cake Cardstock & Ink Pad, Cajun Craze Ink Pad, Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad, Mango Melody Ink Pad, Blending Brushes, Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon, Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins (or Elegant Faceted Gems), Stampin' Seal Adhesive, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Scrub & Stampin' Mist (to clean red rubber stamps), Bone Folder, Paper Snips, Grid Paper, Paper Trimmer. {see Product Purchase Links under the Blog Roll}
