We Create Blog Hop - Holiday Quickies

Welcome to the DECEMBER 2021 "Holiday Quickies" Blog Hop!!! We generally hop on the first day of every month, and this month the focus will be holiday projects you can create quickly.
{scroll to the bottom of this post for ALL product purchase links}

I wanted to share this Hershey Nugget Tent Treat Holder for a Halloween series I was trying to do a little while back, but I became debilitated with pain and couldn't get it posted. Fortunately, the project will work for any occasion, so I am going to share this with you now. Note: I have 3 additional Important Announcements you'll want to know about, so be sure to scroll all the way past the Blog Roll on this post to read those!

I originally created these treat holders using the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper, but I wanted to make sure I used supplies you can currently order, so remade these today using the Painted Christmas 12"x12" Designer Series Paper along with the Christmas to Remember Stamp Set. You can see it is very simple stamping, although you could bling it up as much as you want. These measurements will easily work with either 12"x12", or 6"x6" patterned paper. If you are working with 12"x12" paper, cut your sheet down into four 6"x6" squares first.

You start with a 1-1/2"x5-1/2" strip of patterned paper, then score at 1", 2-1/4", 2-3/4", 3-1/4", and 4-1/2". The little 1/2" strip left from a 6" piece of patterned paper can be used for a small reinforcement at the top center. I use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the little tent shape together, and also to put a little strip of glue inside on the bottom where the nugget will sit. It's important to let that strip FULLY dry before putting the nugget on it, so that you create a repositionable bond with the glue. That way, the nugget can be removed without tearing up all the packaging. I'll see if I can make a video for you, and put it up on My Facebook Page later.

Stampin' Supplies: Christmas to Remember Stamp Set, Basic White Cardstock, Painted Christmas 12"x12" Designer Series Paper, Simply Elegant Trim Combo Pack, Champagne Rhinestones, Take Your Pick Tool & Stampin' Pierce Mat (or you can use a small hole punch if you have one), Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Bone Folder, Stampin' Scrub & Stampin' Mist (for red rubber stamps), Paper Snips, Grid Paper, Paper Trimmer.

12 Days of Christmas: Reindeer, Sleigh & Clauses Bags and Boxes

Sorry I've been so quiet for so long...I'm making a grand apology by posting a huge project I've had going on the sidelines. What do you get when you take a red-nosed reindeer box, toss in some Petite Cafe Bags decorated with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and add 8 reindeer friends to help pull the Clauses on a sleigh? Well, here's what I got:

Each of the reindeer is a resealable box, and there are 9 reindeer. Both Santa and Mrs. Claus are resealable bags, so that's 2 more containers. And the sleigh features a resealable box underneath, for a grand total of 12 boxes and bags. The idea is to put a gift in each one, and put one out each day for the 12 Days of Christmas, until the whole ensemble is complete! I know I'm biased, but I happen to think it turned out FABULOUS.

My hope was to complete and share instructions for all these several weeks ago, but my computer's operating system pooped itself. I was barely able to get my ecutter working to get the sleigh cut out and get this project mailed out to the buyer who commissioned it, just the other day. And just today I've finally gotten enough back on my computer to edit these photos and post them on my blog. So, I'm sorry that instructions will not be coming anytime soon, but I will share the SVG cut files I edited and used, and the list of Stampin' Supplies, in case you want to wing it.

I found a free SVG sleigh file HERE, and modified it for my use on my Eclips2. I created three .scut3 (SCAL/eCAL) files, one with the sleigh and runners all on one 12x12 page, another with just the sleigh parts pushed close together (fits 8-1/2"x11" I think), and a third page with just the sleigh runners, which you could fit on a 6"x12" page. I separated the sleigh and runners so I could conserve card stock.
