A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Safari Celebration

Welcome to our FEBRUARY 2022 #APaperPumpkinThing Blog Hop. Each month we share alternate projects using Stampin' Up!'s Paper Pumpkin Kit! We usually hop on the last Thursday of the month.

My alternate project this month is a set of little train cars. I didn't add too much to the kit, but I wanted to make sure the wheels were perfectly round so I used the Layering Circles Dies. And I colored some of the little clear pebbles using the Basic Black Stampin' Blends Combo Pack, but you could also use a black permanent marker if you don't have those on hand. I also used some Multipurpose Liquid Glue for some of my assembly, but you could use the little Mini Glue Dots that are included in the kit.

Our Paper Pumpkin kit for February was called Safari Celebration. It came with supplies to create 9 cards that fit in a standard size envelope, 3 each of 3 different patterns. Above is a picture of how the cards would look if you make them according to the kit directions.

I had a really bad pain day yesterday, and my idea was to create 3 train cars, but I am not sure if I will be able to get them all photographed this morning before my blog post goes live. So, I've tried to focus on just getting one put up, then I may need to add the other photos after we go live.

The boxes for the train cars are pretty easy to make...I will try to get a livestream done on my Facebook Business Page later today, and link the video for it to this post after I'm done.

This month's kit didn't come with any twine or ribbon, but I think this would be really cute if the train cars were attached with something like that. And you could use our Clear Envelopes to package some treats like circus peanut candies, banana chips or candies, or animal crackers, to go in the boxes.

Stampin' Supplies: February 2022 Safari Celebration Paper Pumpkin Kit, Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad (ink spot in the color is included in the kit), Vellum Cardstock (included in the kit), Clear Envelopes, Layering Circles Dies, Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Mini Glue Dots (included in kit), Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (included in kit), Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, Take Your Pick Tool (optional), Paper Snips, Paper Trimmer, Grid Paper, Simply Shammy (to clean photopolymer stamps), Basic Black Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (or black "sharpie").
