We Create Summer Blog Hop

Welcome to the August 2018 We Create Summer Blog Hop!!! My cards for the hop feature the July 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit: Picnic Paradise. You can't get the full kit anymore, as it was a subscription item, but you can get the Picnic Paradise Refill...which is just the consumables. That is mostly what I used for this project, along with the Make a Difference stamp set.
(scroll to the bottom of this post for product purchase links)
UPDATE: Sorry, the Picnic Paradise Refill is SOLD OUT now!

The only stamp I ended up using from the Picnic Paradise Paper Pumpkin Kit was the 'thank you' image, so you could actually use the Make a Difference stamp set for that greeting. The 'thank you' was stamped with the Gorgeous Grape ink pad, and the 'so berry much' was stamped with the Basic Gray ink pad. The die cut white banner, die cut berries, die cut basket, checked basket liner tissue, and the Whisper White Baker's Twine all came in the consumables part of the kit.

The Picnic Paradise Paper Pumpkin Kit comes with the berries preprinted in Blueberry Bushel, but I've been aching to use the NEW Gorgeous Grape ink pad so I turned them over and used Stampin' Sponges on the white side. The little star/stem shape pops out, so I sponged that in Sahara Sand ink, then put the little shape back in place and used Scotch tape on the back to hold it in place.

If you look closely at the upper right corner, you can see what looks like a cloud in the background. All I did was take the 3 berry shapes I was going to use in the basket, and laid them over the 'so berry much' part that I stamped. I laid them down with the Blueberry Bushel side up (since I wasn't using that side), and then sponged Balmy Blue ink over them.

I used a little strip of Call Me Clover cardstock at the bottom and snipped all along it to look like grass. I adhered that with a cut off (long skinny) strip from the side of a Mini Stampin' Dimensionals sheet. The 'thank you' banner was also popped up with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I used Mini Glue Dots to adhere the rest of the pieces.

  2. Such a fun kit! I guess I should check it out. I have those orange boxes in a few places throughout the house. I also need to hurry and buy a new 6 month subscription ASAP so I can get the next one.

  5. This card just represents summer time! No wonder the kit sold out. This is one of my favorite Paper Pumpkin kits. I love how you made an alternative card and changed the color of the berries. Your little cloud is really cute too. Very creative!
