Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Two Years!

Welcome to the August 2018 Extraordinary Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop, celebrating TWO Years! You'll see projects from stampers from around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so any prices are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month, but we're tossing in an extra hop to celebrate our SECOND birthday. My celebration project features a few products from the Animal Expedition Suite.
(see specific Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll)

That picture up above is what the card looks like when it's closed. The little Mini Binder Clip on the side helps hold it shut. The giraffe in the Animal Outing Stamp Set doesn't really have a long neck, I carefully inked up only the longer neck part and aligned the sections together to get the look I wanted.

And that next picture up above is what the card looks like when it's open. I just slid the Mini Binder Clip up a little bit to release the folded layer. The idea was to give the card the feel of a growth chart. What do you think...did it work? ;-)

Above is a close up of the top panel of the card, you can see some leaves stamped in the background behind the wooden Frames Elements pieces. That particular stamp in the Animal Outing Stamp Set is an image with a frog sitting on some branches. I just omitted the frog part, so I could stamp the branch parts alone. You can see a bit of the coordinating Leaf Ribbon that I used, coming down the side of the card. I adhered both the wooden pieces and the ribbon, with Tombow Liquid Adhesive.

I'll be honest with you...I made this card a long time ago, like way back in April. I'm not feeling super fantastic so I decided to use this card that was already finished, so I can take it easy and get more rest. That's why this card has a birthday greeting on it from a retired stamp set, called Ready to Pop! That's okay, you can spell it out yourself with the Labeler Alphabet Stamp Set, or try the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set. That's a great go-to set for practically ANY occasion.

Stampin' Supplies: Animal Outing stamp set (available in either wood-mount or cling-mount), Labeler Alphabet stamp set, Ready to Pop stamp set (retired - consider subbing Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set), Soft Suede cardstock & ink pad, Sahara Sand cardstock & ink pad, Call Me Clover ink pad, Leaf Ribbon, Mini Binder Clips, Frames Elements, Tombow Liquid Adhesive, SNAIL Adhesive, Paper Snips, Paper Trimmer (for cutting & scoring). (see Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll)
