Welcome to the August 2018 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop, featuring Drinks Galore! You'll see projects from stampers from around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so any prices are in USD)
We hop the first Friday of each month, and my projects this month feature the Balloon Celebration stamp set, and some items from the Share What You Love Suite. They are all available to order NOW in my Online Store!

This design is a revisit to a Teabag & Cookies Pouch I featured on my blog several years ago. I'm using the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, which has some really pretty pearlized accents on the pages. In addition to those accents, this paper actually feels slightly thicker to me than a regular Designer Series Paper, which means it holds up well with scoring! ANNNNND, this particular package of gorgeous paper contains a whopping 24 SHEETS, instead of the usual 12 sheets.
The Designer Series Paper package actually lists the colors that coordinate with it, which is such a handy feature. However, I used a color that I think coordinates, but is NOT listed on the package. For my little 3"x3" foldover card, I used Pool Party cardstock. The little floral/feathery accents were stamped with the Pool Party ink pad. Also, I should note that the stamp set does not have one stamp that says "and eat Chocolate" on it. I simply used the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to ink up parts of two different stamps in the Balloon Celebration stamp set, to come up with that saying.
When you look at the side of the pouch with the teabag in it, you can see just a little of the Rich Razzleberry side of the Designer Paper peeking through. If you follow the directions on my video on THIS BLOG POST for the assembly of the bag, I show you how to fold it so you get the most of the pattern you want to see, facing out.
And finally, you can see in this last picture, how the 3"x6" Gusseted Cello Bag is sandwiched between the two sides of the pouch. If you look closely, you can also see how I propped the punched balloon up with TWO Stampin' Dimensionals, near the top center of the back. This allows the tail of the balloon, and the bow tied around it, to stick out over the top of the pocket where the card was tucked.
Again, you can find the directions to recreate this project in THIS BLOG POST...there is a VIDEO for how to make the bag and everything!
Stampin' Supplies: Balloon Celebration stamp set, Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, Pool Party cardstock & ink pad, Petal Pink cardstock, Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad, Rich Razzleberry ink pad (stamped off once for balloon), Tranquil Tide ink pad, Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, 1/8" Handheld Circle Punch (to punch holes for twine), Balloon Bouquet Punch, Share What You Love Artisan Pearls, 3" x 6" Gusseted Cello Bags (I trimmed maybe an inch off the top of mine), Whisper White Baker's Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Paper Trimmer (for cutting & scoring). You could also use the Simply Scored Board for scoring, as shown in the video of the linked blog post. (see Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll)
Non-Stampin' Up! Supplies: The tea in the package is Organic India brand Tulsi Rose tea, which I purchased at Natural Grocers. Each tea bag within the box is individually wrapped, and I love how the package color coordinates with the patterned paper! The treat in the cello bag is Thindulgent brand Organic Chocolate Almond Cherry bark, which I purchased in a large bag at my local Costco. I broke some into smaller pieces to fit in the bag.
If you are in the US and you want to get a hard copy of the NEW Stampin' Up! 2018-19 Annual Catalog, drop me an email with your mailing address, and we can get that coordinated!
