Third Thursdays Blog Hop - Holiday Debut

Welcome once again to our Third Thursdays Blog Hop! This month our theme for the hop is Holiday Debut! Our posts will feature projects with Holiday product that is in Stampin' Up!'s 2020 August-December Mini Catalog...which was formerly known as our Holiday Catalog!
{you'll find Product Purchase Links for current items I've used, below the Blog Roll}

My project is a trio of cards using the Banner Year BUNDLE from the 2020 August - December Mini Catalog! (If you need one of those catalogs, let me know!) In this BUNDLE, the Banner Year Photopolymer Stamp Set is bundled with the Banners Pick a Punch at 10% OFF.

There are so many awesome stamp sets, suites, and bundles in the 2020 August - December Mini Catalog, that this versatile pair might easily get overlooked. That's why I wanted to show you how quick and easy it is to create great cards with it. And these are only Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day themed. There are plenty of stamps and sentiments to create cards for Fall, Thanksgiving, and even to make the perfect tags for any or all of those themes!

As I did on my LAST POST, I chose Crumb Cake Cardstock as the base layer, because it's a great neutral base layer with a nice little bit of texture from the paper fibers, and it will easily coordinate with any color combination I choose for my themes with the stamp set. Then, I added Whisper White cardstock for all the banners, and used only colors from the Classic Stampin' Spot Assortment, and using some Stampin' Sponges for extra color. The only tricky color was the "orange" on the jack-o-lanterns. Since the stamps are photopolymer, it's easy to ink up the stamp first in Daffodil Delight, then ink with Flirty Flamingo right over the top of that, to get the orange color.

So, if you are overwhelmed with all the new products, and you just want something to get started, consider the Banner Year BUNDLE...it's the little that goes a long way! If you are squeamish about stamping one image over the top of another ) like the stem of the pumpkin, the Stamparatus might be a helpful tool for you - but I just eyeballed it myself. It would have taken me way longer to try to line up on the Stamparatus.

Stampin' Supplies: Banner Year BUNDLE (stamp set + Banners Pick a Punch), Crumb Cake Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Classic Stampin' Spot Assortment, Stampin' Sponges, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' SEAL Adhesive, Paper Snips, Simply Shammy (to clean photopolymer stamps), Grid Paper, Stampin' Trimmer. Optional: Stamparatus
