Third Thursdays Blog Hop - Golden Rule Days

Welcome once again to our Third Thursdays Blog Hop! This month our theme for the hop is Golden Rule Days! Our posts will feature projects related to "school days"...could be teacher gifts, altered notebooks, anything that brings to mind school, school supplies, or school memories.
{you'll find Product Purchase Links for current items I've used, below the Blog Roll}

My project is something I 'm calling a "creation station", using our NEW Mini Coffee Cups and Mini Coffee Carriers from the 2020 August - December Mini Catalog, as well as items from the Playing with Patterns Suite Collection from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.

I started my project by using a Stampin' Spritzer, filled with alcohol, and about 20 drops of Highland Heather Ink Refill, to spray the Mini Coffee Cups to give them some color. Then I used the Warm Wraps Dies in the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, to cut out some cup sleeves from the Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper. I added just a wee bit of Multipurpose Liquid Glue under the cup sleeves to keep them in place.

Then I started on the Coffee Cup Carrier, and used the same patterned paper as I did for the cup sleeves, but this time cut out some letters using the Playful Alphabet Dies. To get the letters to stand out, I first applied a strip of a Foam Adhesive Sheet to the back of the patterned paper, before die cutting. Then, all I had to do was remove the backing from each letter to expose the adhesive.

I stamped the greeting above the word CREATE, onto Whisper White Cardstock using the Night of Navy Ink Pad with the Pattern Play Photopolymer Stamp Set, which you can get in a BUNDLE with the Playful Alphabet Dies for 10% OFF. The patterned paper behind the word CREATE is also from the Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper.

In the picture above, you can see the contents of the left side cup, including Paper Snips, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, our NEW Water Painter brushes, and of course...some chocolate bars wrapped in the Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper.

This next picture (above) shows the contents of the right cup, including the Watercolor Pencil Assortment, the Take Your Pick Tool, and a couple more wrapped chocolate bars. On both cups you probably noticed the little hearts - those are also from the Pattern Play Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them with the Night of Navy Ink Pad, on Coastal Cabana Cardstock. I just fussy cut them after stamping, and adhered with a Mini Stampin' Dimensional.

The shot above is focused on the bow I put on the Coffee Cup Carrier. It is comprised of all 3 of the different ribbons that come in the Playing with Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack. They are so pretty on their own, and even more gorgeous when used all together!
