Global Stamping Friends Extraordinary Blog Hop - 2018 Holiday Catalog

Welcome to the September 2018 Extraordinary Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop, featuring Stampin' Up!'s newly debuted Holiday Catalog! You'll see projects from stampers from around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so any prices are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month, but today is an additional hop! I actually have not yet taken the opportunity to order from the Holiday Catalog, but I still wanted to feature a "holiday" project:

I'm having some browser issues, so more pictures of this project will be coming up shortly. My computer is still on Windows XP and Firefox has finally ended even their Extended Service Release versions, so I just need to buckle down and get a new computer. Right now, it seems like I have to close my browser while I deal with my pictures...the programs aren't playing well together.

I really love the Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green together for Halloween projects, especially with the black and white contrasting highlights. I think the circles in the Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder, the Pick A Pattern Washi Tape, the little Gorgeous Grape punched circles, and even the eyes of the bats and the ghost, really do a great job pulling the whole card together.

I wanted to get some pictures to show you how I made this project, but since I'm running so late as it is, I think I'll save that for a Facebook Livestream! I'll come back in on this post and add a link to that video after I'm able to do it, so you check it out. Hopefully you can see just from the pictures how I punched Whisper White Cardstock using the Pretty Label Punch, and tore part off to make the ghost. And then I punched Basic Black Cardstock with the Pretty Label Punch, and took some "bites" out of it with the same punch, to get the bat shape. Then I used the two different sized little circles from the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch for the eyes on each creature, and also to punch some Gorgeous Grape dots for embellishments.
