My card for this color challenge is actually backwards-engineered from a "masculine" card I made using nearly these same supplies. I'll show you that card soon. This card was a tad bit easier, because there are several flowery and feminine elements to the P.S. You're the Best stamp set, that I didn't have to hold back on using.
There's ONE stamp I just had to use on this card that isn't actually in the P.S. You're the Best stamp set...but seriously, it looks like it belongs in this stamp set.
Take a closer look. See the little lines under the P.S. part of the letter? Don't they look like tiny lines of text?? Lol, that's actually a stamp from the Artisan Textures stamp set! It's the perfect size to stamp right in there.
I frilled out the card with some f#@&y cut flower detail tucked behind the Night of Navy Medium Baker's Twine. I trimmed one leaf off of each of the flowers on the side, so the overlapping leaves wouldn't bulk up the bouquet. It doesn't take long, but you need to go slow while you're cutting so you don't inadvertently cut through that skinny little stem.
Here's one last look at the whole card. I really think Balmy Blue is my favorite new color, and I love how nicely the Night of Navy Cardstock and Night of Navy ink pad contrasts.
Stampin' Supplies: P.S. You're the Best stamp set, Artisan Textures stamp set, Shimmery White Cardstock, Petal Pink Cardstock & ink pad, Balmy Blue Cardstock & ink pad, Night of Navy Cardstock & ink pad, Night of Navy Medium Baker's Twine, 1" Circle Punch, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Glue, SNAIL Adhesive, Paper Snips, Stampin' Trimmer.
