A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Manly Moments

Welcome to our May 2018 #APaperPumpkinThing Blog Hop. Our kit this month is called Manly Moments. It came with supplies to make 10 cards, 2 each of 5 designs, with coordinating envelopes included for each card. The stamp set features a Father's Day greeting, lots of masculine titles (son, husband, grandpa, nephew, brother, uncle, dad - even just 'friend'), and also includes Birthday, Anniversary, and Thank You greetings. Here are my alternates:

The picture below shows how the cards might look if you made them according to the kit instructions:

As usual, I tried to stick closely to the Paper Pumpkin kit supplies. For my alternate projects I added some ink around the tag of the card using a Stampin' Sponge, as well as sponging the trees at the bottom of the card. I also added a few Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the card, in Sea Foam color. Everything else I used on my projects came in the Paper Pumpkin kit! (The sequins will be available in the NEW Stampin' Up! 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, which debuts TOMORROW!!!)

To make my card, I added an extra score line 3" from the score line at the end of the wood print section of the card. To cover the pre-scored line on the card between the plaid section and white section of the card, I cut one of the stickers from the kit in half lengthwise.

To make the "boxalope", I scored 3/4" into each of three sides of the envelope (bottom and two sides), and then just opened it like a grocery bag. I tacked down the triangles folded under the bottom with SNAIL Adhesive, but you could use some of the Mini Glue Dots that came in the kit, if you wanted.

Stampin' Supplies: May 2018 Manly Moments Paper Pumpkin Kit, Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins in Sea Foam (Available June 1st), SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Sponge, Paper Snips, Stampin' Trimmer (for trimming and scoring).

There are sometimes full Kits available on that page, but many are just Refill Kits which include the consumables only...meaning everything but the stamp set & ink pad. 2. The bagalope is great - I haven't made one of those in years. Thanks for sharing. Since I cut up one of my cards I have an extra envelope to do that with now.
