Birthday Delivery - June Step It Up Blog Hop

Welcome to the June 2017 Edition of the We Create Bloggers Step It Up Blog Hop! The theme is to inspire stampers with a basic design, and at least one alternate "stepped up" version of that same design. My project this month features the NEW Birthday Delivery stamp set.

I'm sort of cheating again this month with this first card, because I didn't design it myself. It was a Make & Take project at the 2017 OnStage Local event I attended in San Diego in April. On this card we also got to use the coordinating Birthday Friends Framelits Dies to cut out the pieces from the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper. You can get the stamp set, dies, AND paper in the Birthday Delivery BUNDLE at 10% OFF! I highly suggest you order this bundle NOW if you like it, I expect it's going to be very popular, and you'll want to avoid backorders.

Stampin' Supplies: Birthday Delivery Bundle, Crumb Cake card stock, Versamark ink pad (for gifts & lower greeting...or you could use Crumb Cake ink pad and Pacific Point ink pad), Early Espresso ink pad (for saying in banner), Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive.

My stepped up version was just a wee bit of a challenge, because I only had just enough scraps of the patterned paper left from the Make & Take to cut out another banner and the fox, but I don't yet have the dies! So, it took a little fu@&y cutting, but I survived. I did get to take the stamp set home with me from OnStage, so no problem there. I used the NEW Oh My Stars Embossing Folder for a bit of texture, and painted over all the stars above the strip of Burlap Ribbon, with Clear Wink of Stella...for a bit of shimmer. I trimmed the same greeting used on the simple card, and used only the top line of it. So, even though the entire bundle is birthday themed, it works great for a congratulations-type card!

Stampin' Supplies: Birthday Delivery Bundle, Pacific Point card stock, Early Espresso card stock, Crumb Cake card stock, Versamark ink pad (for stamping around the edge of the Crumb Cake card base--the saying "hip hip hooray"), Early Espresso ink pad (for greetings), Oh My Stars Embossing Folder, Burlap Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Fast Fuse Adhesive.

  4. I haven't seen the Oh My Stars Embossing Folder yet. I LOVE it. That's definitely going on my wish list. It's amazing how SU made a die to cut out the cute fox from the DSP. Love it! Both of them are so cute. I love the layers on the stepped up version, but I really like the strip of DSP with all the background colors that you used behind the sentiment on the first card. Great layouts on both! I agree, I bet this set is very popular!
