We Create Blog Hop - Bunnies & Bears

Welcome to the APRIL 2022 "Bunnies & Bears" Blog Hop!!! We generally hop on the first day of every month, and this month the focus will be projects around bunnies & bears! I am using the Retiring A Wish for Everything stamp set, and the Retiring coordinating Word Wishes Dies, along with the Ladybug Builder Punch, to make a card for Easter.
{scroll to the bottom of this post for ALL product purchase links}

I wanted to feature the outgoing 2020-2022 In Colors, so I used Cinnamon Cider Cardstock for the card base, and the Cinnamon Cider Ink Pad for the word "happy" in the greeting. I used Bumblebee Cardstock for the "sun", and Just Jade Cardstock for the little berm on which the bunny is sitting.

The background layer of the card is actually Very Vanilla Cardstock - I grabbed that because I know our Basic White Cardstock is out of stock at this moment, so I wanted to show how easy it is to substitute for that. (I had already made the white bunny a while back, and had it sitting on my desk) I used the Just Jade Ink Pad  and Blending Brushes to blend in some "grass" at the bottom edge, and the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad to blend some light blue "sky" above that. Just a note...when you are blending very lightly on Very Vanilla Cardstock, like I did with the "sky", the vanilla can bring in a little bit of a yellow tinge. I wasn't thinking about that when I made the card.

Another retiring item I used is the Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins. I felt like they helped to pull in the Bumblebee color of the sun. And by the way, I used the Ladybug Builder Punch to create the bunny, the sun, the clouds, and the little berm. It's a pretty handy little punch...AND it will be carrying over in the upcoming 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. To make the little bunny tail, I applied a Mini Glue Dot to the back side of our white Frayed Ribbon, and then just cut out around the glue dot. Then all you have to do is adhere it to the bunny's behind.

Third Thursdays Blog Hop - Time Marches On

Welcome once again to our Third Thursdays Blog Hop! This month our theme for the hop is Time Marches On! The theme is pretty open-ended, it can be anything about time, like memory keeping...or anything like Spring, or the month of March. Mine is more along the lines of time, an in, I was pressed for time and wasn't able to finish a One Sheet Wonder project I started with the Artfully Layered Stamp Set and Artfully Composed DSP. But, here is one of the cards I've made so far:
{you'll find Product Purchase Links for current items I've used, below the Blog Roll}

The picture isn't fabulous - sorry about that - today was really rough, and I just didn't want to take even more time to clear off my desk, since I was already running late. The One Sheet Wonder I'm working on is actually a 6"x12" Sheet Wonder, and I'm hoping I can create a class where you can make 36 cards out of 6 sheets of 6"x12" patterned paper (which is a 1/4 package of Designer Series Paper). For the finished set of cards, I'm planning to add the Faux Sea Glass Shapes, and the Tropical Layers Dies, to fancy them up a bit more!

Stampin' Supplies: Artfully Layered Stamp Set, Crumb Cake Cardstock, Just Jade Cardstock, Calypso Coral Cardstock, Evening Evergreen Ink Pad (for the greeting), Artfully Composed Designer Series Paper, Tasteful Labels Dies, Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Paper Trimmer, Grid Paper, Bone Folder, Stampin' Scrub & Stampin' Mist (to clean red rubber stamps), Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (or you can use the Mini). And don't forget to grab some Basic White Medium Envelopes for mailing your cards!

We Create Blog Hop - Sporting Green

Welcome to the MARCH 2022 "Sporting Green" Blog Hop!!! We generally hop on the first day of every month, and this month the focus will be projects around sports, or green, or both! I decided I wanted to use my Sweet Conversations BUNDLE again, to make a card for St. Patrick's Day.
{scroll to the bottom of this post for ALL product purchase links}

I had a rough weekend - accidentally overdid it and ended up just having to sit and rest most of the time. Super frustrating, but that's life with fibromyalgia. I appreciate everyone hanging with me through it, I know it can get annoying when things aren't consistent.

That said, this is going to be a simple card, and a short post! Just a quick note on the Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins...the ones I used are an iridescent blue color, but on the Just Jade Cardstock they really take on a green hue.

Stampin' Supplies: Sweet Conversations BUNDLE, A Wish for Everything Stamp Set, Basic White Cardstock, Just Jade Cardstock & Ink, Label Me Fancy Punch, Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon, Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Mini Glue Dots, Bone Folder, Simply Shammy, Paper Snips, Grid Paper, Paper Trimmer.
