Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - 2018 Sale-a-Bration & Occasions Catalog

Welcome to the 17th Edition of the
Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! You'll see projects from stampers from around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

This month we are featuring Sale-a-Bration, and the Occasions Catalog!!! Even though they were released previously, I chose to work with the Stampin' Blends this month, because they are making their first catalog debut, in the Occasions Catalog. Prior to this they've only been available for viewing and purchase in my Online Store.

View or Download the 2018 Sale-a-Bration Brochure PDF HERE
View or Download the 2018 Occasions Catalog PDF HERE

I've also chosen to work with the Color Me Happy stamp set (available in wood-mount and cling-mount), and the Color Me Happy Project Kit, because they are NOT featured in any catalog but they are perfect for learning with the Stampin' Blends. You can even get the stamp set and project kit together for a 10% Discount in the Color Me Happy BUNDLE, which is also available in wood-mount or cling-mount. Check out the awesome video playlist I've put together HERE for you, using these products together. {Note: the Color Me Happy stamp set, Project Kit, and BUNDLE are available ONLY while supplies last, but they are still available as of this post!}

I've assembled my cards just a bit differently from the kit instructions, and cut up the printed card bases into 4" squares to use as backgrounds on standard cards that fold over to 5-1/2" x 4-1/4".

I actually started with the stamping and coloring on separate pieces of 1-3/4" square Whisper White Thick Card stock, and used those as the focal points of each card.

Disclaimer: the stamp image does not have leaves...I drew those in!

As I mentioned above, the Color Me Happy stamp set is available in either wood-mount, or cling-mount. I personally tend to choose wood-mount stamps because I love that I only have to mount them ONCE, and then they are ready to go. This is a HUGE plus for me, especially when I am letting other people use my stamps, like when I hold a stamping event.

However, now that the Stamparatus has been announced (and had preorders), it's going to sort of muddy the waters for me, as that tool only works with cling-mount or photopolymer stamps. I just wanted to make sure you're aware of this upcoming product NOW, so you can make an informed decision on what style stamps you will want to get, in your purchases going forward. You can learn more about the Stamparatus HERE, but if you did not place a preorder by December 30, 2017, you'll need to wait until its debut in the new Annual Catalog in June to get your hands on it. I participated in the Leader-to-Leader group that provided ideas and feedback for this tool, so I already have mine...I'll be showing it to you in action soon!

CAUTION: Don't panic that you can't use the Stamparatus with your wood-mount stamps! I still love my Stamp-a-ma-jig for lining up images, and it is easy and inexpensive. The BONUS of using the Stamp-a-ma-jig with wood-mount stamps is that you can stamp each image on a sheet of vellum to use with the Stamp-a-ma-jig instead of using the plastic sheet and cleaning it off every time. Then you just store those vellum sheets in your stamp case, and you are ready for quick placement next time you use the set. Clear as mud? Don't worry, I'll do a follow up to explain it more clearly.

Stampin' Supplies: Color Me Happy stamp set, Color Me Happy Project Kit, Whisper White Thick Card Stock, Flirty Flamingo Card Stock and ink, Bermuda Bay Card Stock and ink, Dapper Denim Card Stock and ink, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer, SNAIL Adhesive.

We've said Good-bye to the year 2017, and to the 2017 Holiday Catalog...I hope you were able to find the products you wanted before they retired! A few amazing Holiday products, like the Mini Pizza Boxes, 3x3 Envelopes (perfect for Valentines!), Acetate Boxes, and the Cat Punch have carried over and are still available to order--you can take a quick peek at that 2017 Holiday Catalog Carry-Over List HERE.

And now, we are saying Hello to the year 2018, and to the 2018 Occasions Catalog! It's exploding with bright and cheery spring themes, mythical creatures, roller coasters, picnics, a birthday card project kit with a coordinating set, a general purpose all-inclusive card kit, lots of birdies and flowers, and much more!!! There's so much to love, but if I had to pick a favorite, mine would be the Myths & Magic Suite.

The new stamping supplies include TWO new variations on the Embossing Paste line: Silver, and Shimmery White. You'll also enjoy the new Brusho Crystal Colour you can just sprinkle over your wet project surface for vibrant washes of color! And, if you love the look of sequins, but cuss like a sailor when it comes to gluing them on your project, you will definitely go ga-ga over the Tutti-frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequins. There are a couple of 4-packs of Stampin' Spots (mini ink pads) to choose from this time around, too!

If you're looking for a quick peek at some of the new products, the 1 minute video below is a nice sampling: {if you are viewing this blog post in email, you'll need to click the post title to view the video}

REQUEST YOUR HARD-COPY CATALOG(S): Stampin' Up! has done a great job featuring their products for browsing in my Online Store, but I'm personally rather old-school about this type of thing, and I prefer holding the catalog in my hands and having it next to my stamp space for offline inspiration. If you're the same, and if you live in the US (and if you are not working with another demonstrator already), I'd love to help you with your Stampin' Up! needs. Just EMAIL ME to request your catalog(s) TODAY!

P.S.: Stampin' Up!'s biggest sale of the year, Sale-a-Bration, has also started! Find out how you can earn FREE STUFF HERE!

2011 Occasions Mini Catalog Debut

{Note: If you're getting these posts in a blog reader, you might want to jump over to my home page to see my new blog header--it was made with images from My Digital Studio®!}

The Stampin' Up! 2011 Occasions Mini Catalog debuted on January 4th, and runs through April 30, 2011. Things are a bit hectic around here because my kids are supposed to be back in school but they're sick. I was counting on them being occupied elsewhere so I could get some critical tasks completed, take down holiday decorations and rearrange, so I'm kind of behind now. In the meantime, I thought I'd post some fun samples I made at a demonstrator meeting before the holidays, to help keep you inspired and excited until I can come back to give you a more thorough walk through!

Features NEW Nature Walk stamp set!

Features NEW Build a Blossom stamp set & Coordinating Blossom Petals Punch, plus Springtime Vintage Big Designer Buttons, and Framed Tulips Embossing Folder!

Features NEW Create a Cupcake stamp set & Coordinating Build a Cupcake Punch, plus Framed Tulips Embossing Folder, and Red Glimmer Paper for the cherry on top!

Features NEW Fun Flowers Bigz XL Die, Springtime Vintage DSP, Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon, and a SNEAK PEEK at an image from the FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Punch Bunch!

Features NEW Petal Cone Bigz L Die, Vintage Flower Adornments, First Edition Specialty DSP, and a SNEAK PEEK at some images from the FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Bliss (it's a must-have)!

Seriously, I'm sure I say this every time, but this is like the BEST mini catalog EVER! So much stuff that coordinates with so much other stuff...I don't even really like flowers and birds, and I'm sure no seamstress, but I want it ALL!

Click HERE to see the 2011 Occasions Mini Catalog (or right click and Save As to download it), or browse through it in my ONLINE STORE (click the Occasions Mini link in the left sidebar).
