Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Cards in the Mail

Welcome to the December 2023 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! You'll see projects in our hop from Stampin' Up! demonstrators around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so any prices mentioned are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month, and our theme for today is Cards in the Mail! This month I am sharing a card using the Sending Cheer Stamp Set and coordinating Sending Cheer Dies. Both products are heavily discounted in the Last Chance Sale! {you can find all Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll near the bottom of the post}

To get the best discounts, be sure to choose the Sending Cheer Stamp Set, and the Sending Cheer Dies separately in the store. If you choose the Bundle of these items, you will be paying full price.

The gingerbread men on the Pecan Pie Cardstock card base are stamped with the VersaMark Ink Pad, but their smiles are stamped with the Pecan Pie Ink Pad to make them a little darker. I used the Christmas Tidings Embossing Folder for the word 'Christmas', by just inking up the folder (on the side where the words look mirrored) with a Real Red Ink Pad, and pressing Very Vanilla Cardstock over it. Then I used my Paper Snips to fussy cut around the word. The envelope is lighter because I inked it up with the Pecan Pie Ink Pad, then stamped it off once on my Grid Paper, before stamping it onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. I didn't use layers on this card, because I want it to go through the mail easily.

We Create Blog Hop - Merry Wishes

Welcome to the DECEMBER 2023 "Merry Wishes" Blog Hop!!! We generally hop on the first day of every month, and this month our theme will focus on projects that convey any type of merry wishes. My projects today feature the Sending Cheer Stamp Set and coordinating Sending Cheer Dies, both of which are discounted in the Last Chance Products section of my store.

Please be sure you add the Sending Cheer Stamp Set, and the Sending Cheer Dies, to your cart separately, to get the appropriate discounts. If you choose the Bundle of these products you will pay the full Bundle price, which only includes a 10% discount.

In the top pic, the project is a mini garland - perfect for going across the top of a monitor, or on an office or bedroom door. It's not very bulky, so you could mail it easily. Each of the die cut pieces you see makes its own hole for hanging. You could use more colors, but I opted to stick with only Basic White Cardstock, Real Red Cardstock and Real Red Ink Pad, and a Pecan Pie Ink Pad (stamped off once to get the lighter color for the envelope).

And if you attach each piece to the long Linen Thread string with a small bow, you can see in the picture below that with a little more stamping, each piece can be untied and used as a tag! One little caveat...if you want to stamp on that Real Red Cardstock on the back of the Santa cap, you'll want to use a Craft White Ink Pad. The dies in this set will all go through the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

We Create Blog Hop - VERY Last Chance + Sneak Peeks

Welcome to the JANUARY 2023 "VERY Last Chance + Sneak Peeks" Blog Hop!!! We generally hop on the first day of every month, and this month the focus will be projects using products from the Last Chance List* (last day to order is Jan 4th), and/or Sneak Peeks using products from the upcoming 2023 Jan-Apr Mini Catalog and 2023 Sale-a-Bration promotion (BOTH will debut January 5th). Right now you can get a screamin' deal on the Yeti to Party Stamp Set, Yeti Dies, Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems, Whimsical Woodland Embossing Folder, and Snowfall Accents Puff Paint that I used on this card. Everything except the Yeti Dies are in the Last Chance Products section of My Online Store, and the dies are on the Clearance Rack. Normally you'd pay $68 to get all those supplies, but right now you can get them for more than HALF OFF, at $27.20 for the lot! It's kind of hard to see in the picture below, but the white part of the mountains, the yeti's body, the snowflakes, and even the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint all have a faint shimmer from the Clear Wink of Stella Brush.

I also used some Blender Pens with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad to color in the tops of the mountains, and with the Soft Suede Ink Pad, to color in the hot cocoa cup, and to add some color to highlight the yeti's face and feet. I also used it to go over the little embossed marks on the scarf, but that's hard to see in this light. I held my Paper Snips open and used them like a hobby blade to slice around the yeti's paw so I could tuck the hot cocoa cup under it. Another one thing I'd like to point out on the close-up below, is the wrinkle marks around the edges of the die cuts. I loaned out my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, so I had to use my old Big Shot with these dies...that's what left the wrinkle marks! If you have not yet purchased the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, it works SOOOO much better - with the embossing folders, as well. It's totally worth getting. (But you might want to wait until January 5th, when you can choose a free item for every $50 you spend, during Sale-a-Bration.)

The Yeti to Party Stamp Set is great for winter themed projects, because it's not totally about Christmas. A picture of the stamp set is below. You can easily trim apart the photopolymer stamps to rearrange the greetings to say things like: "is it your birthday Yeti?", or "winter wishes & hugs", or "birthday wishes". And you can see the images aren't all just about Christmas, either. I love the little hot cocoa cup.
