For my project this month, I've used products from the NEW Dandy Garden Suite. I really love dragonflies, and I'm so excited that the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set comes in a BUNDLE with the Dragonflies Punch! We had a dragonfly set a couple of years ago, and it had some pretty dies that coordinated with it, but I really love how easy it is to just grab a punch! The striped paper is from the Dandy Garden 6"x6" Designer Series Paper stack. I love that there's coordinating paper for the dragonflies, but SO many of the papers feel really busy to me. That's why I love our patterns papers, though...the other side of every one of those busy papers has a monochromatic side I can use instead!

 The Ladybug Trinkets make sweet little embellishments, and the Pool Party 3/8" Sheer Ribbon adds just a little bit of flair and texture. To finish off the card, I colored some Vellum Cardstock with the Dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends marker and punched some small dragonflies out of it. I also used the Dark Melon Mambo Stampin' Blends marker to color some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to draw more of that color into the card front. And finally, I used the Clear Wink of Stella to color the stamped dragonflies' wings. You can barely see the sheen in the picture below, but it's really pretty in real life.

Color Combo Blog Hop - March 2020

For my project this month, I've created a card you could use for a wedding or commitment ceremony. I used some images from the Dressed to Impress stamp set, and the saying comes from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. I really didn't like the Crushed Curry Cardstock layer, so I used a Sponge Dauber to add some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint around the edges and it made it look like GOLD! I also colored some Basic Rhinestones with a Light Mango Melody Stampin' Blends Marker, to keep the gold theme going.

This greeting fit so nicely in one of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, and the scalloped rectangle comes from that same set of dies, so that was super convenient! The greeting is stamped with the Melon Mambo Ink Pad, and if you look closely, you'll see some watercolor-y swashes over the greeting. The swash comes from the Dressed to Impress stamp set, and I stamped it twice (to cover the whole saying) with the Blushing Bride Ink Pad.

The flowers are stamped on the top layer of Blusing Bride Cardstock, using the Blushing Bride Ink Pad for the ones on the background, and the Melon Mambo Ink Pad for the ones on top of that. Then I decided to stamp one of the Melon Mambo flowers on a scrap piece of Blushing Bride Cardstock, and trim it out using my Paper Snips. The All Dressed Up Dies will cut out those flowers for you, but I was just being lazy...didn't want to get up to go across the room!

I grabbed a Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker to dot in the centers of the Melon Mambo stamped flowers, and then I used a dry Aqua Painter to get a little bit of that Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint on it to dab over the top of those little dots. You'll wanna grab a roll of that really pretty Petal Pink 1/4" Metallic Edge Ribbon to finish off this card. I know it's not technically "Blushing Bride", but look at it - I think it coordinates beautifully.
