Welcome to the JUNE 2023 "Patterns Everywhere" Blog Hop!!! We generally hop on the first day of every month, and this month our theme may bring projects with patterns. I am featuring the Bird's Eye View Stamp Set along with the Glorious Gingham 6"x6" Designer Series Paper for today's project. Both these products are NEW with the debut of the Stampin' Up! 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.

A Designer Series Paper SALE starts TODAY (June 1st), and lasts throughout the month. I was going to use each of the 5 colors of the Glorious Gingham 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (DSP), to make a card using each of the different 5 birds in the Bird's Eye View Stamp Set, but I got a little bit distracted by a different idea, instead. I used Pretty Peacock Cardstock and the coordinating Pretty Peacock sheet of the Glorious Gingham 6"x6" DSP to show off a "peacock" I made using several of the images in the stamp set. I used a greeting from the NEW Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set that I thought was fitting!
If you look closely, you can probably see that I used part of the tree branch image to extend the bottom of the bird's tail, with the StazOn Jet Black Ink Pad. I inked up only the circle part of the monocle image to stamp around the eyes...and the spacing I had to use to fit the circles on the face left the pupils a bit wonky, so I used a black marker (you can use your Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, or just a fine tip Sharpie if you have one on hand) to make the pupils a little bit bigger, and to center them on each other. Then I inked up only half of the circle from the monocle image, and stamped that 3 times at the top of the bird's head for a little bit of fluff.
I stamped the peacock feathers using the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad, and some Masking Paper. I colored the feathers and the bird using the Blender Pens, and dipping them in ink from the lid of the Tahitian Tide Ink Pad, and the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. I wrapped a bit of Tahitian Tide Metallic Trim twice around the card, strategically covering the seam between the Basic White Cardstock, and the Glorious Gingham DSP, and tied that in a square knot. I stamped the greeting on Tahitian Tide Cardstock, in StazOn Jet Black Ink, and popped it up over the trim a little bit, using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. The last touch was adding a few of the copper-colored Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
