Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Recipe

Welcome to the JULY 2021 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! You'll see projects in our hop from Stampin' Up! demonstrators around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so prices are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month, and our theme for today is Recipe. The original idea was to use Crumb Cake as one color, and then create a food-related project, but some of us (like me) only read the title of the blog hop and not the specifics! Ooops. {you'll find all Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll near the bottom of the post}

My take on the "recipe" theme was more like just sharing a "card recipe". I grew up with recipes written on cards which were stored in a coveted little box, although these days a lot of us just find our recipes on the internet. So, I thought it might be a clever bit of wordplay to do an "out of the box recipe" for some cards and share those with you today. Lol.

I created these designs using flower stamps - or at least using shading images that were meant for adding color to line image flower stamps - from the Color & Contour Photopolymer Stamp Set. Both sayings I used are also in that same stamp set. One card design looks like a camo pattern to me, and I embellished it with gold cord from the Simply Elegant Trim combo pack. The other card design looks like an animal pattern to me, and I embellished that card with silver cord from the Simply Elegant Trim combo pack.

Stampin' Supplies: Color & Contour Photopolymer stamp set, Soft Succulent Cardstock and Ink Pad, Evening Evergreen Cardstock and Ink Pad, Bumblebee Cardstock, Early Espresso Cardstock and Ink Pad, Soft Suede Ink Pad, Simply Elegant Trim, Paper Snips, Grid Paper, Paper Trimmer (if you need to cut down your cardstock sheets), Simply Shammy (to clean photopolymer stamps). And don't forget your Medium Very Vanilla Envelopes if you choose to mail your cards! {see Product Purchase Links near the bottom of the post}

  3. Well, these are just brilliant! I totally see the camouflage on these backgrounds. Great way to use the floral stamps in a completely different way. Thanks for sharing x
