Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Meant to Be

Welcome to the January 2021 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! You'll see projects from around the world--but I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so any prices are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month, but we postponed it this month since that landed on New Year's Day. Our theme for today is Meant to Be, with projects for Valentine's Day, weddings, anniversaries, or products that were "meant to be" used for specific projects! I'm featuring the Flower & Field Designer Series Paper that you can get FREE when you qualify with a $50 order during 2021 Jan-Feb Sale-a-Bration. {you'll find all Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll near the bottom of the post}

This is another version of my Teabag & Cookies Pouch that I featured in THIS POST along with the TUTORIAL, just using a different design from the same Flower & Field Designer Series Paper pack. To me, that paper was just "meant to be" for this project! Another difference with today's version of this project is that it is intended to be assembled with the 3"x9" Printed Gusseted Cello Bags that are available in the Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. I say 'intended' because I can't find my 3"x9" bags right now, so you'll still see the Mosaic ones on this project - sorry! (I featured the Mosaic print bags in the last post because they were on clearance/sale.)

Since the 3"x9" Printed Gusseted Cello Bags are the correct width, they actually work much better for this project. However, you'll still want to trim the top off the bag so it's only about 5" tall. I am using some Meyer Lemon cookies that I got in a huge box from Costco...I think they only have them there seasonally, but they are in small sealed sleeves so I only have to open one at a time, and I can keep the rest fresh for a long time in an air-tight container.

I also wanted to mention that, similar to my PREVIOUS POST, I didn't do any stamping on this project. When you create the little pouch, you end up cutting off a 2-1/2" square from each corner of the 8-1/2"x12" patterned paper. I cut a 2-1/2"x 1/2" strip from one of the scraps to adhere along the top of the 3"x3" Just Jade card front with Stampin' Seal Adhesive. Then I cut a few flowers out of those scrap pieces with my Paper Snips, to create a focal point, and adhered those with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

 Again, this paper works quite well with the 2020-2022 In Color Assorted Cardstock to coordinate the little card in the front pocket. And I changed up the ribbon to use the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack for this project, which is also available in the Stampin' Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. That ribbon pack gives you a lovely 1/2" White ribbon that will coordinate with any of the Flower & Field Designer Series Papers, as well as a cute Just Jade 3/8" gingham ribbon, and a Misty Moonlight and Silver baker's twine! (I featured the Snowflake Splendor Ribbon in the last post because it was on clearance/sale.).

Stampin' Supplies: Flower & Field Designer Series Paper, Simply Scored Board, 3"x9" Printed Gusseted Cello Bags, Snowflake Splendor Ribbon, 2020-2022 In Color Assorted Cardstock, Stampin' Seal Adhesive, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Grid Paper, Paper Trimmer (to cut and score cardstock).{see Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll}
