Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Birthday Celebrations

Welcome to the June 2019 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop, featuring BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS! You'll see projects from around the world--but I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so any prices are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month. For this hop, I featured products from the NEW Bird Ballad Suite, along with a greeting from a returning set called Perennial Birthday. {you'll find all Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll near the bottom of the post!}

This card was actually a Make & Take from Stampin' Up!'s April 2019 OnStage event. I will stamp these cards, but often not assemble them until a little later...with some changes to make it more my own. I am a bit stretched for time today, so it was a perfect time to pull out the pieces and finish this card with a birthday greeting!

I stamped the image of the birds with the Tuxedo Memento Black Ink Pad so I could use the Stampin' Blends on the birds and flowers (Daffodil Delight Light & Dark), and on the leaves (Old Olive Light & Dark). Because I wanted to use the Soft Suede Ink Pad for the greeting, I decided to color the branch with that same ink, using the Aqua Painters. I colored very carefully, with very little water, as the Memento ink is not intended to be waterproof. I used the Pool Party Light Stampin' Blends marker to outline the entire image a little bit after I colored it.

Stampin' Supplies: Free As A Bird Cling Mount Stamp Set, Perennial Birthday Cling Mount Stamp Set, Pool Party Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad, Soft Suede Ink Pad, Aqua Painter, Stampin' Blends (Daffodil Delight Combo Pack, Old Olive Combo Pack, Pool Party Light), Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper, Very Vanilla 3/8" Scalloped Lace Trim, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive, Paper Snips, Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist, Grid Paper.
