Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Neutrals

Welcome to the April 2019 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop, featuring our NEUTRALS color collection! You'll see projects from stampers from around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so any prices are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month! For this hop, I chose to keep it simple, and stick to one stamp set - Better Together. {you'll find all Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll near the bottom of the post!}

I've still been having challenges with my health, so my card for today's hop is going to be simple! I love that our Neutrals Color Collection includes Night of Navy. Neutrals are so great for masculine cards, and Night of Navy is the perfect companion to Sahara Sand. Very crisp and clean. I popped up the layered greeting with Stampin' Dimensionals to keep it at the forefront.

You'll notice a bit of "stamping off" with this card. I did that to show that you can get depth from using just one ink pad. To get the lighter colored stamping on this card, I actually stamped off TWICE onto my Grid Paper before stamping on the cardstock. Stamping off off only once didn't give me as much of a noticeable difference as I wanted, so that's why I did it twice. I didn't use any alignment tools for the stamping, I just eyeballed it.

The Night of Navy Medium Baker's Twine makes a great coordinating accent, and it is very inexpensive. I tied the twine in a square knot instead of a bow to keep the card more on the masculine side. Then I sort of unraveled the twine a bit, because I think it made it look kind of like the little fuzzy tops of the party hats stamped below it. The entire bottom Sahara Sand card layer is also popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals, to give the twine some clearance where I wrapped it around the back of that layer.

Stampin' Supplies: Better Together stamp set, Night of Navy Cardstock, Sahara Sand Cardstock, Night of Navy ink pad, Night of Navy Solid Twine, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Paper Trimmer (for cutting & scoring), Stampin' Mist & Stampin' Scrub (for cleaning red rubber stamps). {see Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll}
