Bike Ride - Step It Up Blog Hop

Happy New Year, and Welcome to the January 2018 Edition of the We Create Bloggers Step It Up Blog Hop! The theme is to inspire stampers with a basic design, and at least one alternate "stepped up" version of that same design. I'm starting with the stepped up version this month--it's a card I used for a class at the library in November.

The good news is I finally got a new hard drive for my computer, so I can move some data over and the old drive will have room to breathe, and things won't run so slow. The bad news is that it took me freakin' forever to get the thing installed. More good news is that I got to catch up with some friends from high school on Saturday. More bad news is that it was last minute and out of town, and I only have one card done for you so far this morning!

The bad news, yet again, is that I am running behind on sleep, and that's been an easy road to my facial pain coming back...so I have to get back to bed now. BUT, the good news is that I'll be back later with another card to make things right ;-)

Stampin' Supplies: Bike Ride stamp set, Whisper White card stock, Soft Suede card stock & ink, Daffodil Delight card stock & ink, Pear Pizzazz card stock & ink pad, VersaMark ink pad (with Gold Embossing Powder & Heat Tool for greeting), Embossing Buddy, Burlap Ribbon, Stitched Shapes Framelits (used with Big Shot), Clear Wink of Stella (to highlight the center of the flowers on the focal point), Fast Fuse, Stampin' Trimmer (to cut and score).

Alrighty, here we go! The lighting for this picture is a little different, because I took it at home, but the colors are the same as on the first card. The previous picture was taken at the library...right before I gave the card away :-O This one is much simpler, and I swapped the saying for a couple of stamps from the Oh Happy Day stamp set. You can ONLY get that stamp set in the Oh Happy Day Card Kit...but the kit is a huge bargain! You get the stamp set, and a clear block that fits all the stamps, plus a mini ink pad, on top of ALL the supplies you need, to create 20 cheery cards!

  5. Love the tone on tone background stamp. But wow, seeing the black on the green as a contrast really makes the card POP
