Shaving Cream Marbling with Stencils and Paper Pumpkin

Waaaaaaaayyyy back in October, I made a pretty Fall card that was inspired by the Season of Gratitude Paper Pumpkin Kit. Then I ended up feeling like poo for months, so I never took pictures or posted it. Recently, Stampin' Up! came out with a video tutorial for the Shaving Cream Marbling Technique, which I used for the background layer on the card, so it's the perfect time for me to show you the card.

Stampin' Supplies: Vintage Leaves stamp set, Suite Sayings stamp set, Basic Gray Archival ink pad (also Stampin' Sponge to highlight punch shape), Best Badge Punch, Basic Gray card stock, Very Vanilla card stock, Cajun Craze card stock and reinker, Delightful Dijon card stock and reinker, Pumpkin Pie card stock and reinker, Shaving Cream.

I had actually gotten the idea to use the Shaving Cream Marbling Technique with Stencils, from a Splitcoaststampers tutorial (which I'll embed below) and I thought the October 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit (Season of Gratitude) would be perfect. I could use the layer with the leaves cut out, for my stencil! I used that layer for stenciling *before* I put together the cards as they were intended from that kit. That's the card at the lower left below. By the way, that card is a shaker card, the Paper Pumpkin kit makes 8 of them (plus envelopes) and includes everything you need to make all 8 cards except the shaving cream & reinkers I used over the cut outs! The picture on the lower right shows the layer of card stock onto which I stenciled the shaving cream. On that card, I also used the positive images of the die cut leaves, to sponge over with a VersaMark ink pad for a background.
