#StampingDiversity Blog Hop - Introductions

Welcome to our FIRST hop for the #StampingDiversity Design Team! Our mission, starting in November, is to share and educate on occasions, celebrations, and observances that may not get the representation on store shelves or catalogue pages that they deserve. You'll see posts from Stampin' Up! demonstrators around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The goal of our post this month is just to introduce ourselves:

My name is Kimberley Morris, and as I've said, I currently reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I live with my 30 year old son, and our kitties, and my 29 year old daughter also lives here in town. I've been a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator since 1994, and I make mostly cards, and treat holders. I used to do a bit of scrapbooking, but the "pocket page" format is not my style so that's been on the back burner for the last little while.

I guess I'll show you a bit of the mess on my stamping desk right now...I'm trying to map out how to make 40 Christmas Cards using 1 package of the Beary Christmas Memories & More Card Pack, plus 2 packages of the Beary Christmas Memories & More Cards and Envelopes. I want to get the simple, basic cards figured out first, for people who just want to order those few items. Then I'll go back and add some embellishments and a few coordinating pieces of cardstock to dress them up, for people who wanna go the extra mile!

Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Colorful Fun

Welcome to the October 2023 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! You'll see projects in our hop from Stampin' Up! demonstrators around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so any prices mentioned are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month, and our theme for today is Colorful Fun! This month I am sharing some swap cards I received from other demonstrators, that feature Fall colors. {you can find all Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll near the bottom of the post}

Last month I showed you a couple of the cards that I made for the swaps, you can see those HERE.

The reason I wanted to share a few different Fall colored samples with you today is that our SUPER popular All About Autumn Designer Series Paper is out of stock, though it's expected to come back in the week of October 9th. The sample in the middle uses that patterned paper, as well as the Autumn Leaves Bundle.

The card on the left uses the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper (which is currently in stock), as well as the Earthen Textures Bundle (in Spanish).

And finally, the card on the right uses the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper, which is also in stock right now.

So, even if you aren't able to get a package of the gorgeous All About Autumn Designer Series Paper for your Fall cards when it comes back in stock, you still have some great choices!

We Create Blog Hop - Haunts & Harvests

Welcome to the OCTOBER 2023 "Haunts & Harvests" Blog Hop!!! We generally hop on the first day of every month, and this month our theme will focus on projects that have to do Halloween, Harvests, Fall, or whatever the blogger deems fitting! My projects today feature the Tricks & Treats Stamp Set and coordinating Tricks & Treats Dies (which you can get in a BUNDLE for a 10% Discount!).

I love Halloween, but for some reason - maybe the change in weather - my trigeminal neuralgia often starts acting up around this time of year. I can be fine all day, then it can act up at night and mess up my sleep...which is one of the biggest triggers for it getting worse. So, that's been happening the last little while, and I haven't been stamping much. The card above was supposed to be for a swap, but I wasn't able to get all the cards finished for them to be swapped out. I offered to do a one-on-one to send them individually but I guess no one wanted to share their address with me...? *sigh*

I wanted to use the Them Bones 12x12 Designer Series Paper on the card, but I wanted to only use a 4" piece since that goes evenly into 12. So, I staggered that little 4" strip (light grey with white bones) across the bottom, over a piece of Basic Black Cardstock. I lined up the patterned paper with the left side of the card, and the cardstock with the right side.

I used the Loose Silver Sequins in 3 places on the card, and the silver spool from the Simply Elegant Trim to tie around the bottom. The sequins and the trim were colored with the Starry Sky Stampin' Blends Combo Pack to match the strip of Starry Sky Cardstock that I stamped with bats and then embossed using one of the Cheery Patterns Embossing Folders. There are several pieces to this card, and I did use 7 different colors of cardstock, but it's really easy to put together. You can see the stamp set below, and then the die set after that, to see which images from the set can be cut out with dies.

The coordinating dies include shapes to cut around some of the stamp images, but also have a few extra dies to make a really cute bag, plus a unique-looking label, a little tag, a ghost, and candy corn!

And, the dies I used on my card would fit through the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, but if you want to use that bag die you will need to use the standard-sized machine. And don't forget your Basic White Medium Envelopes for your cards!
