Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - NEW Online Exclusives

Welcome to the July 2023 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! You'll see projects in our hop from Stampin' Up! demonstrators around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so any prices mentioned are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month, and our theme for today is NEW Online Exclusives! I am featuring the So Very Merry Stamp Set and the Real Red and Gold Dotted Ribbon. {you can find all Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll near the bottom of the post}

I made a fairly simple card - the little Santa disc spins when you open the card, if you wind it up a few times before you close the card. I stamped, colored, and trimmed out two Santa discs, and adhered them back to back. I used dental floss between the layers of the disc and adhered that under the fold in the front of the card so the disc could spin, but I think you need to use something elastic to get this to work really well. I cut out the hole in the cardstock (where it folds in front) with the 2-3/8" Circle Punch, but I hand trimmed around the stamped circle on the image, to give it room to spin freely within that punched space.

A piece of elastic thread, trim, or a piece of rubber band.

We Create Blog Hop - Christmas In July

Welcome to the JULY 2023 "Christmas in July" Blog Hop!!! We generally hop on the first day of every month, and this month our theme may bring projects with patterns. I am pairing the Perched in a Tree Stamp Set along with the upcoming NEW Online Exclusives (available to order July 6th) One Horse Open Sleigh 6"x6" Designer Series Paper for today's project.

As I said, you can order the new Designer Series Paper, as well as the snowflake embellishments starting July 6th, but the Perched in a Tree and also the coordinating Aspen Trees Dies, are available right now! There is going to be a new stamp set called Horse & Sleigh - with coordinating dies - available on July 6th, which also coordinates with the paper...but I didn't preorder that stamp set because it's mostly the horse drawn sleigh image and some trees, and it just didn't really appeal to me.) Below, you can see what I did with the inside of the card, adding the 3/4"x4" leftover strip of patterned paper there, turned over.

I think the true star of the show with this card is the One Horse Open Sleigh 6"x6" Designer Series Paper. It is GORGEOUS and makes super quick and easy cards when you use a 4"x5-1/4" piece of it on the front of a card. Below I've shown you only ONE side of each of the papers - the scenic side. The back side of each paper is a lovely pattern in coordinating colors.
