Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Last Minute Lucy

Welcome to the DECEMBER 2025 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! You'll see projects in our hop from Stampin' Up! demonstrators around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so any prices mentioned are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month, and our theme for today is Last Minute Lucy projects! My project today features the Festive Friends Stamp Set

Last Minute Lucy projects are things you might make when time is scarce. So, I went with an old favorite of mine, which is using white lunch bags for gift bags. And if time is scarce, I'm not going to want to color in my images, so I just stamped them using the Balmy Blue Ink Pad for the snowman, the Garden Green Ink Pad for the elf, and the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad for the Santa. (you could use Real Red for the Santa if you prefer)

The BIGGEST TIP I can give you is to slide some chipboard down into the lunch sack just behind the side you prefer to stamp. If you get the Paper Pumpkin subscription box (prepaid subscriptions are on sale thru Dec 9th), there's a piece of chipboard in the packaging and it was the perfect size to fit in my lunch bags! I just had to pay attention and slide it up when I got to stamping the top of the bag. I stamped on the side of the bag with the seam, because that was the flattest side. You could use the other side, but on my bags, I would have had to flatten out a fold. I've found when I have to do that, the bag generally sits kinda wonky because the flatter side was the one that was really squared up with the side seams. If you can't stand the imperfections of the seams, another TIP is to dip Blender Pens into some ink you've squeezed onto the lid of your ink pad, and lightly tap/dab areas of missing ink to fill them in. If you are in a hurry, just resign yourself to being perfectly imperfect and let it go.

I just grabbed paper clips to keep the bags closed and to hold the tags, but you could definitely pretty these up by tying a little bow of Linen Thread at the top of the paper clips, and even adding some Basic Rhinestones to the tags. But, as these were "last minute" projects, I left them pretty basic.

Stampin' Supplies: Festive Friends Stamp Set, Basic White Cardstock, White Lunch Sack, Balmy Blue Ink Pad, Garden Green Ink Pad, Cherry Cobbler (or Real Red) Ink Pad, Blender Pens (optional), Paper Trimmer, Simply Shammy (to clean stamps), and Grid Paper.

Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Orange You Spooky

Welcome to the OCTOBER 2025 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! You'll see projects in our hop from Stampin' Up! demonstrators around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so any prices mentioned are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month, and our theme for today is Orange You Spooky! My project today features a stamp set, and coordinating dies, which can now be found in the Online Exclusives section of my online store, even though it was released in the 2024 September-December Mini Catalog.
{you can find all Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll near the bottom of the post}

Before I go any further I want to tell you that the coordinating DIES are on the LAST CHANCE products category in My Online Store, and as of the time of this post, they are on SALE for only $14 USD. The stamp set is listed at $25 USD. You can currently get the stamp set and dies in a Bundle for $47.50, but if you can grab the dies and stamp set separately, you can get them for only $39 USD (instead of $47.50)!!! So, go grab them before they are gone.

To make these cards, I used a template that Stampin' Up! shared with us Demonstrators during a free online event. You can see a picture of the template below, and Download/View the PDF HERE.

You can see the sample cards made from templates 1-6 on page 42 of the 2025 September - December Mini Catalog, which feature products from the Autumn Toile Suite . I took a picture of how I numbered my page. Although, because I was using a Designer Series Paper (DSP) that only had patterns and NO images, and because my paper was 6" x 6", my process for the cards was just a wee bit different. The originally intended parameters were:
1) Blending Brush on DSP
2) Color Images on DSP
3) Cut Images Out from DSP
4) Cut Out a Shape from DSP
5) Stamp Onto DSP
6) Enhance Pattern on DSP with Blends

I did most of these techniques, except for #6, using Blends on the DSP. If you are interested in me making a video of how I put together my cards, I'm happy to do that, just let me know.
