Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Dog Days

Welcome to the August 2024 Edition of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! You'll see projects in our hop from Stampin' Up! demonstrators around the world--I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Note: I can only sell to customers in the US, so any prices mentioned are in USD)

We generally hop the first Friday of each month, and our theme for today is Dog Days! We'll be sharing projects on the topic of the "dog days of Summer", or anything about dogs. Today I'm sharing the By Your Side Card Kit from our Kits Collection. I've had a hard time catching it in stock, but as of the writing of this post it seems to be available! {you can find all Product Purchase Links below the Blog Roll near the bottom of the post}

These are actually some alternate cards I made using some leftovers from the kit and just a few extra pieces of cardstock. When you buy this kit from me, you can also take advantage of my personal DOG DAYS DEAL Add-On for only $12 (US only). It will include all the consumables you will need, which you will use with leftovers from your By Your Side Card Kit, to make 8 additional cards similar to what I've shared above.

EVERYONE who buys the By Your Side Card Kit from me will get a PDF with a supplies list, measurements, and all the instructions for these cards - including a link to a video walkthrough tailored for complete beginners. But if you want all the supplies, you'll need to email me (procrastistamper@gmail.com) after you've purchased the By Your Side Card Kit from me and I will send you an invoice.

The By Your Side Card Kit itself makes 8 cards with coordinating envelopes, and includes die cut images of dogs AND cats. It comes with a stamp set, an acrylic block for the stamps, a mini Old Olive ink pad, and all the consumables you need for making the cards. I'm a cat lover, so I made up my kit using just the cat images. I also was not a huge fan of the Old Olive ink, so I used my Basic Gray Ink Pad for my cat cards.

We Create Blog Hop - Making Memories

Welcome to the AUGUST 2024 "Making Memories" Blog Hop! We generally hop on the first day of every month, and this month our theme will focus on Making Memories, or anything related to memories. My project today features products from our most recent Online Exclusives release, and more specifically the Potions & Spells BUNDLE. {scroll down below the Blog Roll for ALL product purchase links}

I couldn't get in the mood to do any memory-keeping stuff, so I decided instead to do something inspired by a childhood memory. I have always loved Halloween, and my mom used to sew a new costume for us every year. I don't remember ever being a cat for Halloween, but I also love cats, so I put Halloween and cats together for this little treat box.

I colored the Scalloped Gift Box using my Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad with the Stampin' Brayer - it lays down a lot of color, fast. But, it can be kind of hard to get the color smoothed out in places, so I actually also used a Blending Brush to try to fill in some of the spots the brayer didn't seem to want to hit. And I used the white string from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack to give the kitty that's on the belly band some whiskers. First I poked a hole on each side of the kitty's nose using the piercing tip from the Take Your Pick Tool. Then I unraveled a piece of the twine and pulled it through the holes. This project is great one for using your Black Stampin' Dimensionals! I popped some on the back of the kitty head, along the center, to adhere it to the belly band. By creating a belly band to go around the box, you don't have to worry about adhering it closed, and the box can be opened without tearing it.
