Color Combo Blog Hop - September 2018

These colors just SCREAM Halloween to me!!! I haven't purchased any products yet from the 2018 Holiday Catalog, so I had to make do with some Annual Catalog supplies. The star of this project is the Envelope Punch Board, with a little assist from the NEW Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set. {see Product Purchase Links below Blog Roll}

Below you'll find a closeup of the face. This card uses several Circle Punches to make it fast and easy. You could just cut them freehand if you want, but that might make your card look a little more creepy than cute! I used the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker brush tip to squiggle the mouth lines, and I used the pen tip of the same marker to doodle the "stitches".

As you can see below, I stamped the Trick or Treat greeting from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set on this Franken-monster's "hair". I wanted to mention that I strongly recommend getting the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set in wood-mount. Once you mount them, you are good to go forever...just take your time and line up the rubber image square with the wood block and you'll always have an easy time stamping it straight. The clear-mount stamps are also just SO easy to lose when they are this small.

I stamped that Trick or Treat greeting a few times with full strength Gorgeous Grape ink, and then I went back and filled in with several more of the greeting, in stamped off ink, and even stamped off twice ink. I cut his hair freehand...after taking a pencils and drawing in approximate lines on the back of the card stock. I really want to show you how I made this card, it's SUPER EASY if you have the Envelope Punch Board to make the little bumps on the side of his head, and also to round all the corners. But I'm not feeling great, so I'll have to try to get those directions posted later.

UPDATE: You can find the replay of a Livestream showing you how to make this card on my Facebook Business Page...click for the VIDEO HERE!
