All Things Thanks - May Step It Up Blog Hop

Welcome to the May 2017 Edition of the We Create Bloggers Step It Up Blog Hop! The theme is to inspire stampers with a basic design, and at least one alternate "stepped up" version of that same design. My project this month features the All Things Thanks stamp set (available in wood-mount or clear-mount).
{please excuse the pictures, it's very challenging to get good contrast for white on white with my setup!}

I'm sort of cheating with this first card, because I didn't stamp it myself. I received it as thanks for being a Display Stamper, and a Presenter, at Stampin' Up!'s November 2016 OnStage Local event in Kansas City. I just really loved the design, and I used it in a card class I did at my local library branch this month.

Stampin' Supplies: All Things Thanks stamp set, Bermuda Bay ink pad, Pool Party card stock, Whisper White Thick card stock (card base), Whisper White card stock (embossed layer), Sparkle Embossing Folder, Sweet & Sassy Framelits (heart), Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (SOLD OUT), Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon, Silver Sequin Trim, Triple Banner Punch, Handheld Stapler (SOLD OUT).

This is my alternate design for this card. When I did the library class, participants could either make the card with the heart (like the first card), or they could use the oval, as you see on this card. We had already made a gift bag and 3 cards, so this card was more of a "choose your own adventure" experience. As long as they used the Bermuda Bay ink on the Pool Party card stock, or the Pumpkin Pie ink pad on the Peekaboo Peach card stock, they could mix and match between the two embossing folders, the sequin trim/ribbon/twine, and whatever strip of the Cupcakes & Carousels patterned paper they wanted. I didn't give them the extra layer of card stock like I used, or the enamel shapes, but they still came up with very different looking designs! I wish I had pictures of their creations, but I was a little busy with this free-for-all kind of activity at the end of the class ;-)

Stampin' Supplies: All Things Thanks stamp set, Pumpkin Pie ink pad, Peekaboo Peach card stock, Whisper White Thick card stock (card base), Whisper White card stock (embossed layer), Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder* (SOLD OUT), Stitched Shapes Framelits (oval), Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack, Bermuda Bay Thick Baker's Twine, Silver Sequin Trim, Metallic Enamel Shapes, Triple Banner Punch, Handheld Stapler (SOLD OUT).

*Don't be too sad the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder is gone...I've seen the new catalog and there's a nice replacement. 3. So cute! I really like how you can see the size of sentiment and how it fits in the heart and the oval. I really like the big dots background on your stepped up card. So fun and what a happy color combination.
