Last Chance to Get 12"x12" Early Espresso Album

MORE BREAKING NEWS TODAY: Stampin' Up!'s 12" x 12" Early Espresso Album (item 127685) must make an early exit from the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog. The 3-Ring 12" x 12" Early Espresso Album is covered in a rich linen fabric. It's designed with a metal holder on the spine to label your scrapbook. Scalloped Heart Sticky Notepad Cover

This is a special shout-out to those Target Store Dollar Bin enablers...you gals know who you are. I found some ultra-cute scalloped heart sticky notepads (a.k.a. "post-it notes") locally, and had to dress them up. I thought they turned out absolutely dreamy. That is, if a sticky notepad can be dreamy...

If you are lucky enough to find some of these scalloped heart sticky notepads, and want to make this holder, here are some quick dimensions:
• Start with 3" x 7" piece of card stock
• Score at 2-3/4", 3-1/8", 5-7/8", and 6-1/4"
• Cut an angled slice off the corners of the bit that folds up inside, for a cleaner look

Unfortunately, the Happy Valentine's Day heart image is no longer available. You could only get it from January 3-21. If you are totally bummed because you wanted the stamp but didn't know about the sale, then you should SUBSCRIBE TO MY BLOG BY EMAIL so you can make sure you are notified about these specials!

Here are the Stampin' Supplies you CAN still purchase from me:

Hearts a Flutter stamp set* (wood or clear)
Hearts a Flutter Framelits (the scalloped die-cut heart)
SAVE 15%: Get the Hearts a Flutter Bundle of stamps + dies (wood or clear)
Alhambra Jumbo Wheel (make sure you have a Jumbo Handle for it)
Pool Party card stock and ink pad (to ink up wheel)
Whisper White card stock
Primrose Petals ink pad and stitched ribbon
Full Heart Punch (for a punched heart to layer, as on my sample)
Stampin' Trimmer
Simply Scored scoring tool
SNAIL Adhesive and/or SNAIL Refill
Stampin' Dimensionals
*use the heart(s) from this set, in place of the Happy Valentine's Day heart.

And, you may want to grab some self-adhesive Velcro© dots for closure.

Sale-a-Bration Stationery Box Instructions

I absolutely LOVE the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper that we can get for FREE during Stampin' Up!'s 2013 Sale-a-Bration!

I just love looking at the colors and patterns, and it reminds me of a couple of stationery boxes with coordinating cards that I created a few years ago--with other patterned papers that made me drool. Here is the set I made using the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper (DSP), plus the coordinating Sycamore Street Ribbon and Button Pack, and with some stamping courtesy of the Madison Avenue stamp set. I chose them because ALL 3 of these items are available for FREE during the Sale-a-Bration. You can choose one for every $50 you spend...OR...host a PARTY with at least $400 in sales, and you get ALL THREE for FREE, plus LOTS, LOTS MORE!

Click HERE for PDF Instructions for the Box
(12 sheets of DSP will make 9 boxes, with enough left over for 36 card front layers measured at 4"x5-1/4"...that's 9 boxes of 4 cards and envelopes each! Or, make 12 boxes with only 2 card front layers leftover from each sheet, and stamp the other two cards--like I did in this set.)

You will definitely want to grab some packages of coordinating card stock and ink for this project, so I've listed those below with ordering links for your convenience. (* indicates supplies specifically used in my sample) I've also added a couple of tools and other supplies to that list, which you will want for assembly of your Sycamore Street Boxed Card Set. The awesome thing is, the more supplies you order, the MORE FREE STUFF YOU GET YOU GET TO PICK!

Petite Pairs stamp set* (wood or clear)
Alhambra Jumbo Wheel* (make sure you have a Jumbo Handle for it)
Island Indigo card stock* and ink pad*
Pool Party card stock* and ink pad*
Whisper White card stock*
Whisper White Medium Envelopes* (40 per pkg)
Rich Razzleberry card stock and ink pad
Summer Starfruit card stock and ink pad
Tangerine Tango card stock and ink pad
Sahara Sand card stock and ink pad
Stampin' Trimmer*
Simply Scored scoring tool*
3/16" Corner Rounder Punch*
Itty Bitty Punch Pack*
Stampin' Sponge*
SNAIL Adhesive* and/or SNAIL Refill (for cards)
Tombow Multipurpose Glue* (for box)
Stamp-a-Ma-Jig* (optional, but super handy!)

2013 Raccoon Treat Topper

Did you know you can use the "head" from the Raccoon Top Note Box for a cute treat bag topper?

I put together a really quick video for you, on how to fill, close, and finish off your treat bags:

NOTE: in the Raccoon Treat Topper video, I use the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, and trim it with the XL Oval Punch (formerly, Wide Oval Punch) to make the paw shapes. If you happen to buy the Ovals Collection Framelits, you can use the smallest oval in that set to cut out the paws, instead of the XL Oval Punch...though I find the punch to be much faster :-)

You can find all the supplies for the raccoon head and paws on my 2013 Raccoon Top Note Box Video Tutorial post, and here are the supplies I used to create the 'Thank You' tag for the front of the bag:

Modern Label Punch to punch out tag
Tea Shoppe stamp set (optional) for red dotted outline on tag
Essentials stamp set for 'thank you' image
Real Red ink pad for dotted image
Basic Gray ink pad for 'thank you' image
Medium Flat Cellophane Bags (4"x6",comes in pkg of 50)
Stampin' Dimensionals (comes in pkg of 300)

Stampin' Up! Top Note Boxes Revisited

Just a quick "retro" post today...I don't mean to come off as lazy, by showing you old projects, but last night I slipped on the ice and landed full force on my right elbow, and I haven't been able to finish up the new posts. Hopefully this will at least make you go, "awwwwww....!", if nothing else. ;-) Starting our roundup is the Raccoon Top Note Box I posted a video tutorial for the other day:

And here's another Top Note Box in the same style, only this one is designed to look like a Spring Bonnet:

Introducing...Paper Pumpkin by Stampin' Up!

Let me just say...WOW. The Stampin' Up! 2013 Leadership Conference was uber-amazing! Okay, I have to breathe, and take it one topic at a time. One of the most exciting things for me was the announcement of the NEW Paper Pumpkin by Stampin' Up! monthly subscription crafting kit!!! Each monthly kit contains *everything* you need for your magical crafting "evening at the Palace Ball", except for a little adhesive...and a fairy godmother ;-)

You can read the rest of this article, or if you are too excited, just go directly to MyPaperPumpkin.com and click through the details as you Join. If you are already my customer, or would like to experience Stampin' Up! with me, BE SURE to choose me, Kimberley Morris (in Colorado Springs, CO), as your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for Paper Pumpkin. I will be personally offering Paper Pumpkin Charter Member Gifts, Paper Pumpkin Loyalty Rewards, and MORE with your subscription!!!

HERE'S THE SKINNY:
• The program starts in March 2013 (sign up by March 10th to be a Charter Member)
• Everyone's first kit is a Welcome Kit (shown below), which includes an acrylic block
• You are NOT billed until your kit ships
• Your subscription will auto-renew for your convenience
• You can skip a month if you need to, or cancel at ANYTIME
• Most kits will contain items exclusive to Paper Pumpkin
• Kits will not be previewed--experience the SURPRISE and DELIGHT each month
• Projects types will vary: stuff like cards, 3D items, mini journals, and more
• Each kit includes everything you need: ink, cut & scored items, stamps, etc.

So, what are the benefits of joining Paper Pumpkin by subscription? Let's see: NO SHIPPING, you don't have to remember to renew your order, you don't have to buy full packages of all the supplies you need for just one project, you don't need a "craft room" to store heaps of supplies...and the projects each month are designed to be completed in 30 minutes, so you don't need a lot of time, either. It's like taking care of yourself by getting a massage once a month, but it soothes your creative needs instead of your muscles...and with either one, it's a great way to relax and re-energize :-) Except with Paper Pumpkin, there are no appointments to make, and no schedules or calendars to coordinate, because you complete your projects at your leisure.

I plan to post a Paper Pumpkin Video run-through of each month's project, so you can get a feel for it before you dive into your supplies. I will also be offering Paper Pumpkin Classes locally, where you can come and craft together with me if you'd like.

Also, because these are self-contained kits which are delivered directly to those who purchase them, they make great FUNDRAISERS...so feel free to contact me if you are looking for a school fundraiser, Scout fundraiser, camp fundraiser, band fundraiser, or whatever--and let's discuss how I can help support your group!

On a final note, a Paper Pumpkin Trial Kit will be available in March. I'll give you the ordering details on that as they become available--it will be $16.95, and that does not include shipping, but you can include it on any customer order, including an ONLINE ORDER, and consolidate shipping, PLUS it will count towards Stampin' Rewards (Hostess Benefits). The Paper Pumpkin Trial Kit, shown below, will contain supplies to make two mini-journals. They are DARLING!!! These kits give you a great way to TRY BEFORE YOU BUY a subscription :-)

So, if this sounds as SPECTACULAR to you as it does to me, head on over to MyPaperPumpkin.com and JOIN THE FUN!!!

Cupid's Heart Valentine Treat Bundle Project

Here is another project using the Valentine Treat Bundle, featuring the Hearts Collection Framelits, as well as the NEW Hearts a Flutter Framelits. REMEMBER: the Valentine Treat Bundle is available ONLY from January 3rd - January 21st!!!

I filled a 1"x8" cello bag from the Valentine Treat Bundle with M&M's, and just attached some die-cut shapes using Stampin' Dimensionals. The "tip" of the arrow is about 1-1/2" of the tip of a heart from the Hearts Collection Framelits (3rd in from outside), as is the biggest heart in the center (4th from outside). The Happy Heart single stamp (from the Valentine Treat Bundle) can be punched out with the Full Heart Punch, or die-cut with a heart from the Hearts Collection Framelits (5th from outside). The scalloped heart is from the Hearts a Flutter Framelits, as are the flag pennants that make up the "tail" of the arrow. You can see how to create the "tail" below:

Stampin' Supplies: Valentine Treat Bundle (Happy Heart single stamp & 1"x8" cello bags), Whisper White card stock, Pretty in Pink card stock, Regal Rose card stock, Real Red card stock, Hearts Collection Framelits & Hearts a Flutter Framelits (both used with Big Shot), Tombow Multipurpose Glue (to layer "tail"), Stampin' Dimensionals.

Tic Tac Valentine Treat Bundle Project

This is a quick project using the Happy Heart single stamp from the Valentine Treat Bundle, with a little more grown-up style. While most of us chicks dig candy, some of us chicks are watching our waistline. Here's a pretty and petite treat that will satisfy the sweet tooth, the diet plan, and the visual senses:

This is a regular size package of Cherry Passion Tic Tacs, wrapped with about 6" of the new 1-1/4" Two-Tone Ribbon in Pink Pirouette/Rose Red, with about 6" of Linen Thread tied around it in a square knot. I used a few discretely placed Mini Glue Dots under the ribbon to keep it from sliding off the Tic Tac package.

You could use more of that beautiful Two-Tone Ribbon and cut some fancy fishtail ends in it if you want, but I used only as much as I needed to cover the label on the Tic Tac package. Keeping the ends straight also made it easier for me to singe the ends of the ribbon with a lighter, to melt them and prevent fraying. If you like the frayed look...go for it ;-)

Just an FYI, I think the Cherry Passion Tic Tacs can be found in bulk single flavor packs online, if you can't find them in your local store. Again, these are the regular size packages (5/8 oz) and NOT the Big Pack. There are also some cute pink Tic Tacs available that would work well with this project, I think their flavor is called Strawberry Fields. You could even use the 1-1/4" Two-Tone Ribbon in Basic Gray/Basic Black with those pink Tic Tacs, and create a sophisticated Pink & Gray favor!

Stampin' Supplies: Valentine Treat Bundle (Happy Heart single stamp), Whisper White card stock, Real Red ink (pad or marker), Full Heart Punch, 1-1/4" Two-Tone Ribbon in Pink Pirouette/Rose Red, Linen Thread, Mini Glue Dots, Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit (use with Big Shot), Daffodil Delight card stock (use in Embosslit), Stampin' Dimensionals (to layer stamped, punched heart onto embosslit heart).
